Not for use in the UK
Don't order it if you live on the Continent. Voltage not suitable and complicated to get a refund.

This is a fairly good iron. I thought it would be heavier, so that it would iron the more difficult sheets etc.

This Rowenta iron heats up fast and delivers strong, consistent steam that easily removes tough wrinkles. The stainless steel soleplate glides smoothly, and the microsteam holes really make a difference. I also love the retractable cord and clear LED display. Solid, high-quality iron that makes ironing quicker and easier.

Made in China. Although I searched Amazon for Rowentha made in Germany and it did return this model and although other info on the internet indicated that this high end model was still manufactured in Germany, it is manufactured in China. It does the work but definitely not as good with steam as my previous iron.

This is a nice iron w/ acceptable functions and features. It heats up quickly. The plate guides nicely across the fabric. The spring loaded cord storage works well. The water storage capacity is fine. I really like the idle steam level and the button-actuated pump steam augmentation. That button permits partial depression for exactly the correct amount of additional steam. The illuminated temperature display is very nice. My ironing board has a metal rack to safely hold a horizontal hot iron, but this iron goes to sleep quickly when horizontal, so that feature isn't great for my usage. I had been using that rack often previously w/ my other iron. This is recommended.

I bought this to replace an older Rowenta iron, so I had some expectations. First, if has a retractable cord, which I love. My old one had a retractable cord, so that's a requirement for me. There is no going back. The cord seems lighter duty than my old iron, but I notice that with a lot of newer electronics. I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Seriously. I figured out that I had to keep turning the dial until the lights came on and line up the setting with the triangle located beneath the dial until the iron turned on. Easier said than done, honestly, because the dial is tucked under the handle. It's a little hard to move, but it's brand new. Maybe it's a little tight. You can't easily see what setting you have chosen, but the LED selection is in front of you, so that's good. My old iron had more clearance and the dial was completely visible. Fortunately I have small hands and fingers. I also plugged in and unplugged the iron vs turning the dial on and off, but apparently you are not supposed to do that. On my old iron, I could adjust how much steam I wanted by moving a selector switch. This iron does not have such a switch. That seems weird to me. So if I'm ironing wool pants, the iron controls the steam and I can add extra bursts if I want to. The actual ironing is beautiful. I had dress pants that I had machine washed and air dried, so they had modest wrinkles. I set to Wool and wrinkles came out very quickly. It seems like it has a large water tank, but also uses water quickly. I don't iron often, so it's not a big deal to me. I will have to remember to empty unused water, per the manual. I never thought about it previously. Overall, love it. It's what I expected. The dial placement is my only complaint.
