I received this VEVOR wooden grocery store playset as a gift, and it's been an absolute hit from the moment it was assembled. The conveyor belt actually moves when you turn the little knob, the scanner beeps realistically, and the cash register with the card reader makes everything feel just like the real supermarket. The kids immediately started lining up their stuffed animals as customers and taking turns being the cashier – I've never seen them so engaged with a single toy for this long. The quality surprised me in the best way; it's sturdy MDF wood with nicely rounded edges, and even after weeks of daily use (including some enthusiastic "shopping cart" crashes), nothing has chipped or broken. It comes with a ton of accessories – tons of wooden fruits and veggies, a working scale, reusable shopping bags – so they can play right out of the box without needing extra pieces. This grocery store is a fun addition to a playroom. It was easy to assemble and is a great size for my 2 year old. If you decide to connect the register part to the bookshelf part, there is the worry that with one push, it might break. However, the set is light and I was worried about not connecting it due to it becoming a tipping hazard. The set comes with some food but I ended up throwing all the plastic pieces away because some of them arrived broken. I was worried that more would break in the future because they are very thin. The coolest elements are the manual the coveryor belt and the hand scanner. Overall, this is a neat toy for our playroom but I wish it was sturdier.
