LensCovers Sunglasses Wear Over Prescription Glasses-Large Slim- Polarized

A life saver because I do not have prescription sunglasses. Not the most fashionable, but I only wear them to drive anyway. I always keep my pair in my car and put a pair in my husband’s car. The sun can be brutal in the evenings after work and these have made it safe to drive West towards home during sunset lol. Just be sure you MEASURE your glasses frames before ordering, because one size does not fit all! I actually had to give my first pair to my husband because I ordered them for myself and they did not fit.One thing I’ve noticed is that these glasses are VERY dark. They have a weird blackout effect on device screens unlike any other sunglasses I own. This includes my radio and phone, so I have to turn the brightness up to 100% to be able to clearly see my GPS when I’m driving. I would test this out for yourself and make sure you adjust for these possible complications before you start driving, just to be safe on the roads.

These are exactly the sunglasses I have been looking for! Love the polarization and the little lens on the side for peripheral vision. I elected not to get transition lenses on my new glasses because they don't get dark enough and don't darken at all when you are in a car. The new transition lenses do but they stay tinted, even indoors, which I think is very unattractive. I tried these sunglasses as soon as they arrived and they fit perfectly over my stylish, somewhat oversized plastic frames. Even better, with regular sunglasses the sun always seems to come streaming in over the top and sides of the eye piece, causing me headaches but not with these. I love hiking and going on nature walks and have had to choose between my old sunglasses or my eyeglasses. If I didn't have my eyeglasses on, I really missed out on seeing the flora and fauna super clearly, especially close up. With these wear over sunglasses, I get the best of both worlds!

These polarized sunglasses fit nicely over my regular glasses and work well to block brightness and glare—at least for me. The measurements given in the product description worked fine in my case. I had purchased another pair of "fit-over" sunglasses locally, but those didn't fit in the built-in sunglasses holder of my 2007 Toyota RAV4. These (large slim size) do fit, but with virtually no room to spare. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled that they won't be unsecured and bouncing around the car interior.My only complaint, one mentioned by at least one other reviewer, is that the earpiece ends touch the inside of the lenses when folded completely. In time, I think this may make a permanent mark on each lens, which could impair vision. I'll try to avoid folding the temples that far—we'll see how well I do. If, despite my care, the lenses get marked, I'll update this review to report it.Follow up — June 15, 2016: It has been just over a year since my original purchase and, as promised, here's my update. When storing the LensCovers, I've always tried to NOT fully close them and to leave some distance between the earpiece ends and the inside of the lenses. Well, after a year I'm declaring this method a success. I've gotten the LensCovers out and put them away (in the built-in sunglass holder of my car) many scores of times. There has been no marking of the lenses—simply being careful has achieved this result.

I'm giving the LensCovers four stars because of the quality and finish of the product and the excellent customer service. I first ordered a medium in these sunglasses, and they barely fit over my prescription eyeglasses but raised them up a little.I then order these large-slim. When I received them, they indeed would have been large enough to cover my glasses, but the bridge was thicker from top to bottom, which raised the sunglasses so that the very bottom portion of the lens of my prescription glasses were uncovered.I returned both pairs and received an advanced refund, contingent upon the company receiving the return of my sunglasses.This is a no-risk order from this company. The glasses fit me nicely, but I saw the glare of the side of my cheeks sometimes. I contacted the seller about the fitting. He was very prompt in the communication and kindly offered to send me a sample of a different size to try free of charge, after getting my measurements. The try-out item arrive very fast in 2-3 business days. I tried and it was a little too small. He told me to keep that pair of sunglasses in case I get a different pair of prescription glasses in the future and could use it.I then discovered that if I wear a hat, it solves the problem of me seeing my cheeks. And it is natural because I figure if I need to use sunglasses outdoor, I typically would wear a hat as well.The quality of the sunglasses is great and it is light. It certainly covers the side and the top very well. I love it much more than using the clip-on sunglasses.Great product and great customer service!

Best £8.50 ever spent! I ordered these in a panic day prior to leaving for a week's adventures in the Alps. Amazon lived up to their promise and shipped them for next day delivery. Tried them on and they fitted perfectly over my existing quite large Moscot glasses.Used them on many occasions to cut out the extra glare of reflected UV at high altitudes on long and strenuous glacier treks and they certainly prevented any sun damage to my eyes. Moreover I preferred using them to the expensive ski goggles I had brought with me as my glasses never once fogged or steamed up when I was exerting myself hard in the extremely cold temperatures I experienced.I really can't recommend these highly enough as an amazing and effective bargain buy.
