The normal 2-minute brushing cycle of a sonic toothbrush brushing at 30,000 vibrations per minute or 60,000 movements per minute (1 vibration = 2 movements ) is excellent for removing softened tartar and plaque beyond the reach of toothbrush bristles. Flossing after brushing with TartarEnd® and using string or tape flossers, “tree” flossers, “thin” wooden flossers, or water flossers have been found to be highly effective in removing additional softened tartar and plaque. Flossing before brushing with TartarEnd® toothpaste will not remove hard tartar.
