Used for 1 month travelling Spain for face soap & laundry soap. They did not leak.
I was worried they might leak. So just in case I placed each bottle in a zip lock baggie. This is because elevation changes can really put a lot of force on seals when the air in the bottle expands. I didn't want any surprises. Other precautions I used:1) Filled the bottles full when I flew over for the US in order to minimize the air that might expand.2) During travels, when I re-pack them away, I express some air out of the bottle to allow the remaining air to expand.3) On the way home, I double bagged the bottles because there was a lot more air in the containers.I observed no leakage at all from the bottles at all.

Yes, these are Holy Water Bottles!
Yes, these are Holy Water Bottles! That's how we use them in our Church. However, they are without the Cross that's usually there. But, either way, the people know what's in them. For Easter Sunday, when the Church blesses new Easter Water and you may need 100's of bottles for everyone to get some, you have a choice. You can buy some with a Cross, from a Religious Goods Store and they might cost $4, $5, or $6 depending on where you go and the quantity you buy. Or, you can but these, the exact same bottles, but without the Cross for $1 apiece. Besides, the people know what's inside. That's why they take it home.

Leaked!
Do not purchase unless you plan to keep these upright all the time. Not travel bottles. The flip tops are not engineered to prevent leaks. Even sunscreen and thick fluids will leak.

Some leakage, particular with elevation changes
I bought these for denatured alcohol for backpacking. When I squeeze them while closed, there is no leaking, but when I travel into the mountains at higher elevations then where I filled them, I find liquid in the baggy that I put them in. Good thing I'm paranoid and added the extra baggy for protection.Once the pressure equalizes, they seem to do fine the rest of the trip. For the price I can make do with this minor leakage during the travel to the trailhead, just need to consider a secondary travel container.Update (2023-02-02): after some research I learned that leakage due to elevation change is normal and can be a big problem for the transportation industry, especially glass items like beer that can rupture.

Bought for Massage Oil
I bought these to use for making massage oil using aromatherapy essential oils. With the flip top cap, they operate easily using just one hand. I have not used them with oil yet, but I tested all six with water. None of them leaked water when laid on their side or held upside down. A few did produce drops of water at the hinged area of the spout when held sideways and squeezed. That does not concern me for my intended purpose. Since the massage oil is for personal use, a smaller size may have been more appropriate, but this is the size I ordered.

I use these to transport lamp oil for camping and they work great.
I use these to transport lamp oil for camping and they work great. One bottle holds about two night's worth (that's burning them dusk to dawn!) of oil for the old style hurricane oil lanterns I use. So much easier than trying to pour the oil into the tiny opening on the lamp! Just open the spout and squeeze it in. Just don't try this with any solvent-type material (gasoline, etc.) or it will eat right through it. But it works excellently for the oil.

Travel Wisely
I love these bottles. The price is right too. The caps dispense just as they are meant to. But I would NEVER be so much of an optimist that I would travel with any bottle fitted with flip top or pour spouts of any type! For traveling I always replace that kind of top with a PLAIN cap which has a gasket. The caps that are used on most of these bottles come in just two or three basic sizes. Carry the pour spout with you so you can re-fit it on the bottle once you arrive in Cabo de Hornos.

Some leak. Some are airtight.
.I bought a 6-pack in July 2017. I tested them by squeezing moderately hard and listening for air escaping. They were 90% full of water. I tested upright (air against spout) and inverted (water against spout). 3 and them did not leak. One leaked badly, one moderately, one slightly. Almost any spout cap will leak if you subject it to extreme pressure, such as 100% full of liquid and then warm it up, for example. For my purposes, 50% of the bottles are leaky.Under just the force of gravity (bottle inverted, no additional pressure) only one of the 6 bottles leaks. The weak point is the spout, not the seal between the cap and the bottle. The ones I bought were from Atharva Products, fulfilled by Amazon, no branding on the package. No guarantee other merchants for this listing are shipping the same item.~~~ Comments & questions welcome ~~~
