Hate loosing things!
I thought it was doomed when I couldn’t find the battery and the charger for my Canon Sure Shot. So I ordered this as a replacement to get me through until I found my other charger. I was Leary because it isn’t made by Canon. But it works terrifically so now I’m not worried about finding my original one. Good value, long battery life

A must have for the Panasonic Lumix Z540
The Panasonic Lumix Z540is a highly rated point and shoot and my brief test run before wrapping to put under the tree confirms the great reviews. There are two negatives. 1) the camera uses a proprietary battery and a proprietary connector to the usb port. 2) the gps functionality once turned one must be turned off via the menu. Simply powering down the camera will not stop the gps from draining your battery. I bought this because the automatic mode is as foolproof as it gets and it will be used by someone who'll never get the hang of a menu. Not being able to use a standard battery and the high likelihood of having the battery dead means a spare is imperative. This package gives you two batteries and a charger that works on both wall AC and a 12 v car power outlet. It also comes with a two round prong adapter so I assume it will work with any of the world's power with the proper plug adapter. The first charge using this charger took only about 30 min, about 3x as fast as the charge using the camera and usb.The charger is about the same size as the camera so it takes a decent sized camera bag to hold them all. The batteries are the usual small lithium ions that hold a charge for months so can be charged and carried with the camera in a small case. Lion batteries other than the original OEM have a sketchy reputation but I've had good luck with all mine from laptops to cell phones. The camera liked these batteries fine and I expect them to work as well as the original. It also comes with a stick on screen protector. I've not yet used that but probably will. I have found them to be very useful in reducing glare on my gps but not much help for my cell phone.

Works Great In The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS30
When it comes down to using aftermarket batteries in cameras, I am always hesitant. I have had very bad luck with them in the past and never find out that they don't work in my product after it is too late to return them. Needless to say, I was skeptical when I ordered this kit (at this time, there are no OEM batteries available anywhere for the LUMIX DMC-ZS30)and fully expected to be let down once they arrived.Upon their arrival, I immediately assembled the charger (snapping the charging plate to the base) and plugged it into the wall. The first battery charged in a little under two hours, which is almost half the time that it takes the OEM battery to charge in-camera (this Lumix doesn't come with a wall charger.) As soon as the little light turned green (indicating a full charge) I popped the battery into the camera and was very pleased to find that the camera powered on!Another nice thing is that (according to the batteries stats) one charge should last roughly thirty-eight percent longer than the OEM battery. (3.6V, 1700mAh, 6.1Wh vs. 3.6V, 1250mAh, 4.5Wh), but I cannot say for sure that it is the case since I haven't had the camera long enough to deplete a fully charged battery. If you have the LUMIX DMC-ZS30, worry not when you decide to purchase this particular kit. To me, it is worth the price of the kit to have the wall charger alone. It is like I bought that and got two batteries for free! :)

Works like a name brand.
I bought these because I found the camera that it goes to with no battery. I bought these just to give it a shot and see if it worked. It does work and so far these batteries have worked great. They charge last for a long time and you get two batteries so one can always be charging while the other one is being used. Sure go ahead and get these batteries if you need to but if you can find the name brand I would get those instead.

Using Batteries In Lumix ZS50; Charger Is Unique
To me this charger is unique because it is the only one, and i have had many, that has 2 sets of contacts--one on the left side of the space where the battery goes and another on the right. It doesn't make any difference which side of the battery is up because either way, the battery will be charged.I bought the charger and batteries so that i would not have to charge the battery of my new Lumix ZS50 in the camera and so I would have sufficient batteries to continue using the camera while a battery is being charged. This charger charges the batteries much faster than when they are charged in the camera. My camera had no trouble recognizing and accepting the batteries and reported that the same number of shots were possible as it did the Panasonic battery that came with the camera.Time will tell how well the battery holds up after many charges, but for now I believe this charger/battery package is a good value. There are always several sellers for batteries and it is difficult to know which ones are best. I bought these from Big Mike because I have purchased batteries from him in the past for other cameras with good results.
