The top is completely sheer. Considering this is a formal type dress marketed to teens, it shouldn't be sheer on top, and if they can't line the top, then it should be clearly noted that the top is see thru and another garment will be needed to wear underneath.Secondly, the material the top is made of is very itchy and perhaps chemically treated....my daughter tried it on, wearing a cami underneath and she still ended up breaking out in tiny red bumps everywhere the top "lace" touched her.All that being said, it really is a cute dress on, and if I was comfortable letting her undergarments show and if it didn't cause her skin to break out, it would have been the perfect dress. So if you have hardy skin and are comfortable with a little peek a boo....this dress will work for you ;)

I bought this for my daughter for her middle school dance. First, the lace top is completely see through. I knew this from reading the reviews so we planned ahead. Second, the shirt is not full and structured like it looks in the photos. But the main problem is the lace material. It is cheap and looked like it had been attacked by a piece of velcro before she even got to wear it. There were huge picks and pulls all over it. Cute style but it looked too shabby to let her wear it. She was very disappointed.

This dress is her homecoming dress. It is modest (her father approved). It is figure flattering on her body and she feels confident (imagine Serena Williams but 4'11). Most important her four legged bestie likes it lol! I'm very please!!!!

I ordered this dress last minute for a wedding. Be warned the top half is completely see through lace. I had read reviews and knew this so I purchased a black long line bralette and that fixed the problem. The dress was quality material and it fit great! It looks short on the model, but at 5’2 it hit just above my knees. I’m am 5’2 128 and ordered a M. Very happy with my purchase

I have bought 2 dresses from this company. They are very nice for the price. I went up a size on this one for my granddaughter, and it fits perfect. The too has very nice lace but it is see through. She tried it on with a spaghetti strap tank. I am going to see a lining in for her. She is 5' 4" and weighs 140 lbs. She normally wears a medium or size 9.

Runs small. Not good for big bust. Would be very cute if the sizing was correct. The skirt falls nicely but the top was way to small and I’m a very true xl.

We thought it had a lining, but it didn’t.Wire a white tank top under the lace.

i wanted to love this but i didnt.. the material is not comfortable and the top is sooo tight...if you are busty, this is not for you. returning
