NOT worth the money at all!! $18.99 is way too much to pay for this piece of junk - - more like $1.89 is all it is worth. Very poorly made. Cheap and flimsy all the way around. The reel would not stay tightened on the rod at all. Bought this as a fun gift for my grandson. He would cast once with it, and start winding, and the reel would come loose on the rod. When you extend the rod sections, the sections don't secure in place, but instead slide loose extremely easily, making it almost dangerous to use. The line guides on the rod are way too small as well.Save your money, and go to one of the big box stores and get a real rod and reel instead.This item is a rip-off. Extremely disappointed.
