If you are going to buy one of these 2 rod and reel combo kits, I suggest you buy this one. This kit is perfect for keeping in a car's trunk, under a truck seat, in a camper ....etc. The 2 reels come with line already installed, have collapsible handles that are reversible, and are surprisingly smooth ! For the cost of this kit I was expecting much less from the reels. The telescoping rods are also nicer than was I was expecting for a kit at this price. The handles are large enough to be comfortable and secure, and the rods have decent action for being telescopic. For convenience they come with the spools already loaded with line, and can be set up with lures in the water in only a few minutes. The small tackle kit is also better quality stuff than expected, as well as the two included tools. The only item that is not better than expected is the case, it is about what you'd expect, but that's not really a bad thing. If this kit is going to be used every week, I'd probably upgrade the case before long. But, this is going to live in the trunk of my car for when I have unexpected opportunities to fish, or for occasionally fishing with my grandson. If your looking for quality and value, I'd buy this, you'll be pleasantly surprised when it arrives, and you'll want to go fishing !

I used to fish a lot when I was younger and was hoping to get back into it. I saw this travel sized telescopic fishing set and went for it. It's got all the things a beginner would need to get a line in the water and start fishing. It's even got tools to help you release the fish after you catch them!I think this meant for someone who doesn't have any gear yet and wanting to see if fishing interests them. It also comes in a set of two so you can take a buddy with you. It's nice and compact allowing you to even backpack with it. Awesome! However, if you already have (or had) a quality pole and reel then it might not be up to snuff with what you are used to.

I ordered these for my teenage daughter who has took up fishing, and she loves them. They come in a sturdy convenient carry bag that can be stored easily behind the seat of her truck. She has been going w her dad fishing and using his ride but wanted her own. Her dad.showed her how to set up the rods and reels the first time and break them back down, after that she can now do it on her own. The line was already installed which is a huge plus! They are good quality, as is the small amount of tackle included. They cast and reel in smoothly, not a lot of line tangling. She is super happy with this set, it made a nice gift. I would recommend for beginners, or for seasoned fisherman to have handy.
