This is an extremely fun game, I can’t recommend it enough to large groups. Cards are nice and sturdy and there are so many different roles.

Just an unbelievably EXCELLENT game. The value here is through the roof, and all in a slick-looking, compact package. I don't usually review things I purchase from Amazon, but this one deserves it, and then some. I brought this game, along with several others for my extended family to play together on our week-long vacation up north to the cabin. But as fate had it, we just so happened to try Mafia first on night 1, and didn't really feel the desire to play anything BUT Mafia for the rest of the week after that (RIP other games). Highly addicting, even in its most basic form (this game kept 20+ family members...several of which are baby boomers and Gen-Xers...up playing and laughing until 4am one night...on vacation, mind you...it's THAT addicting). And beyond its basic form, which is fun enough in itself, the countless extra role cards create an endless amount of customization and replayability for years to come. So, SO many laughs (the "gut-busting" kind), you really are missing out if you don't give this game a shot. One of the most strategic and gratifying games I've ever played. On top of that, I've NEVER experienced a game that created SUCH a fun atmosphere in the room, that just watching the chaos ensue in the background was almost as fun as playing, if not more. Very much looking forward to what Apostrophe Games has in store for the future of this game. I will instantly be buying whatever they put out next for Mafia.

I've been playing Mafia for a few years and generally have a lot of fun at it. I started making cards on my own so I was looking to buy professionally made cards. These cards are GREAT! High-quality and there are several characters I never heard of, which are actually very clever characters and fun to play with. Depending on how many players in the game, it usually goes for a really long time, so if you're the first one eliminated it can be a drag waiting for the entire game to play out while you sit there. Some of the cards in this set can accelerate the game play by allowing certain characters to eliminate during the night phase. Basically, if you like to play the game of Mafia, buy this set. You won't regret it.

I've been playing traditional Mafia with playing cards for years. Was hesitant to buy the official game because I'm cheap and I wasn't sure it would be worth the money. I am very glad I did so. The new characters provide a ton of options for role combinations, but you should not incorporate too many into a round, as it can get extremely complicated for the moderator. Plus with so many additional civilian and mafia cards you can switch them out so they don't get bent and used which could make them obvious to other players. I think I would be overwhelmed at all of the options had I not played the original game for so long, but the instruction are pretty clear so a newbie should be able to pick it up over time. This took a proven great game concept and made it much better, and I highly, highly recommend this game!

This was a great game! We played it for a few games and you could Have more than we did in the party to play. It was lots of fun and had you thinking. Plays best if people really commit to Their character card.

This is by far my family's favorite game.

This is great mafia game and really good for the price. Got loads of different characters. We regularly play Mafia and it is really fun game especially if your group of friends is close and you know each other well. Also suitable for kids as we do play with children starting from 10 year olds. Younger kids would not be able control emotions. Highly recommend.
