Good mount, but no installation tool or instructions. For $37, it should come with an installation tool, at least a Torx bit to put in your Torx wrench. FYI, you need a T30 Torx wrench to install it, and most people don't just have a T30 Torx wrench lying around their house! And since there were no instructions, the only reason I know it takes a T30 Torx tool is because I tried a whole bunch of Torx wrenches until I found one that was the right side.

Works perfectly for my pic rails to attach my Javelin Spartan bipod. But because it is proprietary, it is more expensive than it really should be.

Opened the little clamshell, and first thing I notice is the mounting bolt is a mangled cross between a hex and torx. I think the broach missed during the bolt manufacture. I wondered if it was some crazy new anti-tamper screw, so I went for the included wrench. Lo and behold, it's an anti-tamper torx with an off-center security pin hole and an improperly cut head. Now I realize Spartan doesn't manufacture these parts in house (I hope), but not checking the $0.25 worth of hardware is effectively rendering the $60 part useless unless you have the right size bolt laying around (I did, M6-1.0). If UTG can manage to ship working hardware with their $10 mounts, Surely Spartan can have the assembler spend another 5 seconds to make sure they don't have a return for such a stupid reason.
