a MUST-HAVE for squats + TIP
The media could not be loaded. Last year, I enrolled in a fitness kickboxing classes for 2 months in order to force myself to get out of the house and do some cardio exercises, and it worked. I lost 10 lbs in just 2 months. After losing 10 lbs and feeling good about myself, I was motivated to exercise and workout at home to lose more weight and to also save money from kickboxing classes so I started purchasing exercise equipment and weights for the first time.I'm not a serious weight lifter but rather wanted to simply burn calories and fat while gaining some muscles.I started my home workouts with push ups, sit ups and dumbbells for first 2 months mixing with some cardio exercises and I lost another 10 lbs. However, I felt like I was neglecting my legs and my lower body so after asking around, I found that squat is one of the best workouts for your legs and lower body (as well as your cores!).So I purchased a barbell along with squat stands and I loved it!However, during my in-home workout routines, I developed a tennis elbow so I had to purchase and wear elbow compression sleeves and braces. I was a afraid that I might also develop knee related injuries from squat exercises so I decided to purchase a knee compression sleeves to protect my knees.I purchased this one from Dark Iron Fitness because I already have their workout gloves and barbell pads, which I love.WHAT I LIKE:[+] comfortable and fits like a glove without being bulky or bulging out[+] breathable cotton spandex makes it easy to put them on while stays on tight[+] extra long straps with the strongest velcro I've ever seen - on top and bottom of the sleeve to secure from sliding up or down[+] gel padding on knee cap and structural support along the sides of the patella, while providing good compressionWHAT I DON'T LIKE:[-] strong velcro straps will "eat" the outer material if it comes in contact - just don't let the velcro straps touch them[-] while it has awesome gel padding and side support, they are "glued" inside the sleeves, which can easily come off if you are not careful.*** TIP ***Any compression sleeves are difficult to take them off due to the nature of being tight to your body but the wetness from your sweat makes it whole lot difficult to take these off, which will increase the risk of glued support to fall apart. I have figured out the best way to take these off after the workout. Watch the video for the tip.THE BOTTOM LINE:Solid 4.8 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this knee compression sleeves.I would give 10 stars if Dark Iron Fitness can figure out how to permanently (or more securely) place the gel padding and side support in its place (maybe sew them to the fabric?)Do not try to take these off by pulling down your legs as the glued support is not strong enough to hold them in place. Again, watch my video for easy way to take them off without damaging the glued support. If you appreciate my review please click on the helpful button below so that it helps others, too!

Quality at a Reasonable Price Once Again
I just ordered a pair of your knee sleeves from Amazon. I’m 56 and started squatting again because my son is power lifting like I used to years ago and I have started entering contests with him for support. I have never had knee problems before (because I have been extremely careful with them over the years) but have been thinking I better use something to assist my knees during squats and running. I have bought several of your products over the past few months (because of the reviews) and am pleased with them all. Thank you for providing these products for lifters both young and old. I have been systematically lifting at least 5 days a week since I got my first weight set when I was 14............I got the knee wraps today and I tried them out tonight along with my previously purchased Dark Iron bar pad, belt, and wrist wraps and loved them. I am up to a 300 lb + bench, 400 lb + squat, and 500 lb dead lift once again at 190 lbs. If you would have told me a year ago I could do this after all of my aces, pains, and yes even a stroke two years ago, I would have called you a liar. Praise the Lord in all things. Amen

Don't buy these
I read the negative reviews about these coming apart right away or being shipped already falling apart but I had already purchased their weight lifting belt and lifting straps and was very happy with the quality and knew they could make a solid product. I was also very reassured by their lifetime warranty even if something were to go wrong eventually. Well...right out of the bag theyre coming apart. There's no way they couldn't. The glue they used on the pockets inside is hilariously weak. Not sure what they were thinking when they designed these. Somebody had to have tested these out before they approved the final design and I refuse to believe a pair of these could last even a week under normal use. Still love their belt, still love the straps, would recommend both (even though schiek straps are better), but these knee wraps are a major fail on Dark Iron Fitness's behalf. Pretty pissed I already have to return them or contact the company for a replacement. Haven't even used them.

Side support broke on first use when removing them.
I want to start off by saying I'm a loyal Dark Iron customer. All of my gear is Dark Iron, the stuff is usually high quality. My experience with their knee sleeves has been less than steller though. This is my third pair, that is partly my fault as the first to times I over estimated my sizing. No big deal, I returned them and got the size smaller. I'm now at mediums. During my work out they seemed to support well. I did a bunch of squats, leg presses, then walking lunges with them on. They slid down a bit on my knees so I had to keep adjusting them, which was annoying. But what killed it for me was when I went to take them off, ome of the side supports went in o my sock. I thought it would be fine, but I turned them inside out to see what the deal was and realized the side supports are NOT sewn into the sleeves, they are only glued which makes them WAY TOO EASY to break. I know Dark Iron checks their reviews, so I assume they will contact me to make this right, this was litterally my first time using these medium sized sleeves. This did not happen with the large or Extra Large I had, but of course they were too big so it would make sense they didnt run the risk of being damaged when taking them off.
