Recordable books have for me become a fun method of reading to my grandchildren. I have two grandchildren in the Northwest, and I live in the East.Explicit directions accompany the book. I have found it is important to read the book first so that you have a good feel for the content. Even if you know this nursery rhyme by heart, it is important to read this version. You have a limited amount of time for each page, so be on your AGame. Once you have recorded the book, listen to it, and if you are not happy, record the book again.My grandchildren, and their parents, love these recorded books. The parents impress the children that this is their grandmother speaking, reading the book. My granddaughter, who was two, took me to the cupboard where this book was kept, the next time I came to visit. Have recorded dozens of these Hallmark books- this one would not work- broken- inside of battery compartment was broken with dead batteries- no new batteries would work- hope I get a refund! Have never purchased from this seller before. Someone should have checked this before reselling.

I bought many of this particular book. We had my husband's mother read it and record for several of her great grandchildren. She has some confusion, but this book was perfect for her to read as she remembered the poem. How wonderful for great grandchildren to have the voice of their beloved great grandmother for as long as batteries can be purchased.

A day before I got this recordable book, I received a different one on Frosty The Snowman. I read carefully through the directions and had no problem recording. However, with THIS book, I would turn a page and it would keep telling me to turn to a new page to record. It wouldn't play what I recorded as I turned the page, and it "read" the wrong words on some pages. I retried several times with no luck. I had to give what I made as a Christmas gift and was very disappointed in the product.

The book arrived with batteries that had corroded. We were able to clean up the battery compartment, but was unable to successfully listen to recorded text consistently.

This is my second purchase of a Hallmark recordable book. It was so easy to record and the story was delightful. I purchased another recordable book NOT from Hallmark and it was the worst! Poor quality and very difficult to record--not at all like this book. I highly recommend all of the Hallmark recordable books. My grandaughters love them! Their faces light up when they hear grandma & grandpa talking to them!

We just love this recordable book. We bought this for our great-grandson who was born in Oct. and plan to give it to him for Christmas. We translated the first two pages into the Hawaiian Language and sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in Hawaiian, this will be a great keepsake always. We had purchased this same recordable book a few years ago for one of our grandsons who lives in Alaska and he just loves it.

The book itself looks beautiful. We ordered Jan. 2022. When we went to record reading the pages it didn't record. We checked batteries that came with it. They were dated 2006 and corroded batteries and contacts. Amazon was great with issuing credit, but had no more books, which is really what we wanted. This was a new purchase, not used.
