Awesome Hands-On Activities for Teaching Grammar: Grades 4-8

There were several activities in this book which I enjoyed..."Stomp Out Run-Ons" and "Fragment Puzzle." However, many of the activities were not creative and required long paper trails and lots of floor space. I think I would use the noun tree next year, but I received the book after having already covered that topic next year. Overall, I didn't think the book was "hands-on" enough to call itself "awesome."

This book contains lots of fun, hands-on activities for teaching grammar. Most are easy to prepare and can be saved for future use.

Great in class as a back up. It contains great ideas on making grammar lessons more interesting. Lots of fun and interesting activities.

Some good ideas, but not enough for 6th grade level. Will share with lower grade teachers. Like 'hands on' activities.

Just okay to me. I expected more rigor in the tasks and assignments. Some useful, some I've seen before for years.

I chose 5 stars for this purchase because it was exactly what it was advertised as, a valuable classroom asset, quick and easy to use. Great for second language learners and those behind 2 or more grades with skills. This book was cheaper through amazon.
