I have a small patio block patio of about 130 square feet. A landscape contractor had replaced the original polymeric sand in 2021 but hadn't done the best job so it was breaking up pretty badly in several places. The most time consuming and labor intensive part of the replacement process was removing as much of the existing sand as possible with a power washer and a carbide tipped hook tool. Once the old sand was removed and the patio block completely dried, putting in the new sand was straight forward and not too time consuming. I followed the directions that were included with the product listing on the Amazon web site. These instructions were much more complete than the ones on the product bag. The instructions emphasized the importance of compacting the sand during installation, which I did with a plate dirt tamper. The new sand looked great 24 hours after the installation process was complete. There was no haze or leftover residue on the blocks. Time will tell how well this sand holds up but it did survive a recent four inch rain downpour with no visible degradation.

This product is a little larger grain than I've used before. So far I'm happy with the results. When we've been through heavy rain and/or the winter I will know better if it holds up.

Perfect look and easily workable

Work better than the products that I've purchased from Home Depot. But wasn't expecting the color to be darker than what I used before, but still, it worked awesome.

I have an old paver patio that needed some TLC, re-leveling some sunken areas and filling in voids where the older polymeric sand got blasted out by the power washer, allowing whole crops of weeds to overtake the patio. This stuff filled in easily and seems to hold well. I'm hoping it's more durable than the older and cheaper stuff and can withstand power washing better. If it does, then I will up my review to 5; the higher price is what's keeping me at a 4 right now.

This product worked exactly as expected.

Decent but within the first year ants and weeds were defeating it. Have had better with other manufacturers/brands in the past from the big box stores.Edited 7/23/25: seller contacted me to offer a full refund. Nearly one year later. Excellent customer service.
