Singer 6660 Computerised Sewing Machine, Metal, White, Mint Panel, One Size

The media could not be loaded. The singer starlet was my first upgrade to digital and have no plans to change as it does everything I need from a machine. I have an overlocker but don’t use it at all just switch to the overlock stitch and I have nice finished seams especially on knit. If I have had to change the settings say to a wide zigzag, lengthen the stitch and move the needle but then want a straight stitch I simply turn it off and on again and it’s reset to default. It’s also the first machine I’ve had with an automatic needle threader, it is a handy feature but as you can see in the video there’s ample room to thread and rarely frustrated enough to use it.I’ve sewn everything from lace to rope on it and has never let me down. The addition of satin stitch to sew patches and the delicate embroidery top stitches (see pic) are very nice. Perfect little machine. I love it. https://amzn.to/3SvQEwS

Very easy to use which makes it great for beginners and experts alike and as for thickness if you mean sturdiness then yes it’s quite robust which made me go for it in the first place I love it !!!

I purchased this to replace a 40 year old Singer which had given good service with little need for maintainence. It struggled to sew through several layers of fabrics in particular seams resulting in knocking and screeching noise until,it stopped. After rethreading, changing bobbins And needles, and cleaning the feeder as suggested by the sellers I returned the machine for a refund. Very disappointed in Singer and have bought another brand which is serving me well.

I bought it because it's a Singer and I've always had good luck with Singer sewing machines. The thing I hate the most is the stitch panel on the front. It's miserable to read the stitch settings because the numbers are white on a light turquoise background. I actually had to take a picture of that panel and enlarge it so I could read the numbers. There is no instruction manual, either.
