Oh my god I bought it used and you can't tell at all. I BLAST WORKING MAN and it sounds the same used. What a good feature. Great tunes from my yoot and I hear they are touring. It came to me fast and at this wicked price. Its Canada week I guess. I'll be checking out YES next.

Great band. Properly discovering now in 2022
I had the test for echo album when it came out. I liked some songs, not all. I was curious about Rush so bought more CDs in 2022. There is great music here. Somehow I'm totally not getting the current 2022 and recent music and and listening to Rush and Led Zeppelin properly for almost like the first time. Especially because of appreciation for amp sounds and Impulse response technologies, effects, use of legendary keyboards. Instead of liking 70s 80s and even 90s music, just for music, I'm now listening to it as if I'm hearing it for the first time. There is lot more here folks. Or may be you all got it back then and made this music popular and successful, and I'm getting it just now. I've focused on lead guitar so much, that when i tried to play rhythm like these older bands and more rock bands, i couldn't. The pick just flies out of my hands. Challenging and beautiful music, done to perfection in sound and execution. I didn't know why radio commentators used phrases like "timeless classic". I'm beginning to understand.

Great collection of early-mid Rush
Great collection! I knew about half the songs, the rest are just as good. My only gripe I'd the jewel case had two cracks in it. I think there needs to be more padding when shipping ads.

What stands out is the great technical playing abilities of these 3 men. Wow. I realize this isn't news to long-time Rush listeners, but this is the first time I've actually purchased their music. I remember when "Working Man" came out and I was impressed. Rocked HARD. Then thru the years I would hear others on FM or thru friends. "Fly By Night". "Closer To The Heart". "The Spirit Of Radio". "Freewill". "Tom Sawyer". The level of prowess just keeps going up and up. That's impressive.

Rush: The Spirit of Radio - the spirit of life itself.
We are most impacted by the music we grow up with. If you are a teenager, by this CD now and a copy of "The Virtue of Selfishness" by Ayn Rand. The lyrics will make alot more sense if you read that book. I lost a copy of this CD and bought TWO more to replace it. You should buy an extra copy and store it in a barn for your favorite nephew. (lol) This is serious music, this is real art - it is deep - and it will move your mind your soul and your heart. Thanks Neil, RIP.

I don't think there would be another trio of brilliant rock musicians who could do any better than the magical musical output of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. They became iconic musicians in progressive rock history long time ago and I believe here you can listen to a great compilation of their works to understand why. It's really true that here only songs composed and released between 1974 and 1987 were included but I still think that just this album can introduce you to their earcatching and still very complex melodies and I suppose you won't be able to help becoming a fan for a whole life. My favorite songs are Tom Sawyer, Time Stand Still, Freewill, and Limelight. Do dare to explore this musical world with all kinds of layers and dimensions because it's worth it! Enjoy!
