The Sheep-pig

The most awesome book in history. Seriously, this book has a great philosophy, great characters, and uplifting humor. I highly recommend it for both children and adults.

Exactly as expected.

Although a pig in a barn means only one future, Babe shows he can be anything even a sheep-pig. He portrays of a character whose fate is quite destined, but he believes in his unique potential and strives for it. It is a good book to read along with kids.

Loved it!

Excellent book, if not a very short read. But this just makes it an wonderful candidate for read-aloud sessions in the classroom or bedroom. I find the movie superior, but the book still holds a special place in my heart due to it being the origins of such a wonderful film. It pretty much follows the movie exactly, in fact, I can't think of any scene they left out... I also really enjoyed the literature-only version of the famed "bah-ram-ewe" password. "I may be ewe, I may be ram, I may be mutton, may be lamb, But on the hoof or on the hook, I bain't so stupid as I look."

The cover attracts me. It is about some animals. The picture is using the real photo of the animals, which create a very gentle mood. And the background is very beautiful. The title is special. I had listened sheep dog but have not listened sheep pig. So that I think it is interesting. I expect that it is a happy story. But actually, it is touching and makes readers to introspected and stimulates deep thought. It is very surprise to me. Babe is the leading role. Babe was a little pig with no mother. He came to live with Farmer Hogget and his sheepdog, Fly. Babe wants to like Fly being a sheepdog. Fly loved Babe and taught him many sheepdog lessons. Babe was a clever and polite little pig. But Mrs Hogget wanted to kill Babe. She wanted to make a Christmas dinner for the farmer. One day Babe helped his boss, Farmer Hogget. And he learned to talk to his sheep. Farmer Hogget made a plan. He wanted to take babe to the British Sheepdog Trials. I like this book because it is easy to understand what the story was. So I don not need to read dictionary with this book. And this book makes me to introspect my attitude of communicate with the others. I need to learn form Babe. Polite to other is important; get angry is only to get worse in the incident. And work hard is also an element to succeed. This is want I learn form the book. The story of the book is friction. I am very like this book and I think you may also like this book.

Good narration to kids and it can give an amazing improvement to kids too.

Great story i remember reading this book decades ago as a child

I bought this book based on my cousin's (who is a writer herself) recommendation. I enjoyed reading it - it is light and interesting.
