It added that dimension of sound experience that only a sub could do. And at just over 100 bucks, thats astonishing.
My living room is large 15 x 18 room with an 18 foot ceiling, and includes a L shaped Stair and the foyer that is outside of those measurements. I recently installed all my home theater gear in a in-wall 32U rack in a different area of the house and re-routed all existing wiring including a whole house audio system. I also do home theater setups as a hobby and have some experience locating speakers and subs, and tuning a room.My requirements were simple: I wanted a subwoofer that delievered ample low freq sound when playing a movie such that it enhanced the excitement of the sound experience, without creating thunder. Dont get me wrong, i revel in the glorious sound of tight thunderus base! My other half however, has a nervous system that is not compatible. I wanted something that was minimalist in its consumption of space. I wanted something low cost, trustworthy (many good reliable reviews) and quality construction. I wanted it to auto power off when not used.I looked into in wall solutions mostly. I ranged from something like the matched speakercraft sub10 or klipch rsa500 sub/rack amp, to something simple like a generic monoprice sub and off brand sub amp. I also thought about dual subs. After much reading I was thinking of buying 2 pyle dual 8 inch subs with 2 audiosource 102s.So why did i buy this sub? I thought if this thing actually works, it will fit perfectly behind our reclining couch (which is spaced inches away from the wall due to the recline). Its also placed right where the old sub wiring already existed. For this kind of money if i dont like it in the living room, i can throw it someplace else.First impression upon opening the box: someone who id like to thank designed this sub to solve a problem, my problem. Someone also engineered a nice looking unit with curved edges and brackets and stands. When i plugged it the light came on. When i hooked it up sound came out. I played the new Godzilla movie and the sub did its job. I shut the system off and a few seconds later the sub auto powered down. It didnt rock my world, but it added that dimension of sound experience that only a sub could do. And at just over 100 bucks, thats astonishing. Time will tell the rest of the story.Edit: "Y" RCA Adapter was cheap and broke. Had my own y cord. Month later the sub is still working fine.

Beyond My Expectations
Preface: I rarely write reviews, but this product more than met expectations. Just to be clear, this is for my den, where I watch TV and stream music daily, not my media room/man cave where I need βBIGβ high quality sound to watch movies, sports and listen to hi-res/HD music. Den size β 22βx16β with a vaulted ceiling.I was in the market to replace a 25-year-old Klipsch 8β subwoofer in my den that was starting to breakdown and wanted to stay under $200. I also wanted to free-up floor space, which led me to an in-wall or wall mounted sub. My den 5.1 setup originally included all Klipsch speakers, but I recently started upgrading the aging 25 YO speakers; front bookshelf speakers - replaced with Klipsch in-wall, center - replaced with an old Def Tech (from the man cave), rear speakers β no change, and now the subwoofer β replaced with Theater Solutions; AV receiver β Denon 4300I installed the sub under a floating wall mounted cabinet, set the crossover to 90hz and the gain (volume) approximately 60%. I started my listening test with music from Pandora and immediately noticed an improvement. The crossover roll-off was very smooth and the bottom frequencies were very impressive. Later, I was watching a series on TV with several βimpactfulβ scenes and the bottom frequency was beyond my expectations with just enough rumble to feel the impact; again, Iβm not expecting room shaking sound like my media room.Bottomline, if you have a similar setup and not expecting a home theater sound quality, you will not be disappointed with Theater Solutions sub. Bang-for-buck, itβs hard to beat. 5-Stars but would have rated 4.5; minimal directions and limited hardware for different mounting configurations.

Good performance at a Good price
I was looking for a subwoofer that would fit in a small space for a system in a small room. My system operates in 2.1 mode so this wasn't purchased for home theater purposes, although I do watch moves on the system. I bought the sub to re-enforce the bass of my old DCM TF-250 speakers. This it does nicely. I've been using it for over three weeks now. Overall I am very pleased with this sub - the 8" version. I won't quote specs here...they're in the item description. The sub is thin enough to fit under most sofas, fit behind entertainment centers, or stand in front of an open wall and not be the elephant in the room. Nice amplifier features...auto on/off, volume and cross-over controls. Did I mention the price? Very affordable for a quick system tune-up. From a purely subjective viewpoint, bass is now deeper without being boomy or overwhelming. There is also more punch to the music or soundtrack. My amp will actively analyze the room acoustics and tailor the audio channels for what it feels is the optimum sound response for the room. That said, even without that tool, the sub controls themselves will allow one to optimize the sound experience. Everyone's ear is different, rooms are different, so YMMV. If you feel you're being shorted on the bass end of your system and you're on a budget, give this little sub a try.
