High Quality at an Unbelievable Price
I sleep deeper and easier with several heavy blankets, but they are often too warm and bulky. This blanket provides that relaxing heft without too much insulation. It is not hot. I’m using it over a thin cotton blanket and a top quilt in a bedroom we keep at 65 degrees. I am especially pleased with the amazing Prime discounted price and the great quality. I like that the quilted sections are smaller (about 4 inches square) than many other blankets, allowing for fluid handling and, I assume, less shifting of the glass beads, which are so small (similar to fine sand) that I hardly notice them at all. No loose bean bag sensation. Because of a second, interior lining, the blanket feels more like one quilted piece, although you can feel the glass beads with your fingers if you try. I'm 5'3", 130 lbs, and the weight feels snug, but not overly compressing. I think a 20lb blanket would have been too heavy for me. No problem turning onto my side while under it or moving it around when needed. Folded up, it feels very heavy, but when spread out, the 15 pounds over its 24-square-feet equals just over a half pound of weight per square foot (think the weight of a standard bag of dried beans). The blanket is well made. The stitching is strong and the fabric is high quality, smooth and nice to the touch, but not overly sateen-ish. I've had no problem with it slipping off the bed, but I do fold over about 6 inches along the length on the middle side of our queen-sized bed and don't allow lots of overhang on the outside edge. It stays put. I've slept under it for four nights and notice that I wake less often in the night and get back to sleep quicker. My only dilemma now will be when I travel, as I can't image sleeping so soundly without it! Highly recommended.

I’m now a believer.
Due to changes in my life, I have been struggling with obtaining restful sleep for a long time. It was quite frustrating to toss and turn all night and simply watch the hours on the clock melt away knowing the upcoming workday would be physically and mentally rough as a result.Desperate to try things that weren’t medical based to help my situation, I learned about weighted blankets. It seemed worth a shot. I wasn’t sure what weight to go with it what brand, so I decided to for a relatively lighter weight, and randomly picked a brand such as this blanket. When the blanket arrived, it felt heavier than I expected. I then spread it out on my bed. It looked nicely made and I found no defects. That first night was interesting. When I placed it over me, it was actually a bit unsettling. Being this is actually on the lighter side of all the weighted blankets available, I thought it was too heavy. I definitely wasn’t used to it. And found myself immediately questioning if this would work. That first night was a bit rough. However I stuck with it and eventually fell asleep. Honestly, I got to sleep a little better but did not think it was due to the blanket. The second night was different. I once again place it over me and I guess I got used to the weight. It wasn’t as shocking. I was still a bit unsure how it would help me sleep. But I had fallen asleep and woken up with a greater sense of rest. After the first week of using the blanket, I definitely found myself falling asleep and getting actual rest. I could now track my sleep and note I was doing much better than before. It’s been about three months now and I simply love the blanket. I actually look forward to sleep as the blanket is so comforting and definitely helps me get a good night of sleep. I can’t imagine not using it now.I think this weight is perfect (for me). I can’t imagine going with more weight as that might be too heavy. But I guess everyone has their own idea of comfort.TL;DR: these weighted blankets really do work. Give them a try.

Get this blanket if you need relief from sleeplessness!
06202022 UPDATE!!!! It has been about 4 years since I first ordered this blanket and it is still in perfect condition I have hawed it multiple times, not a single thread has worked loose. The beads are still intact inside the blanket. i have recommended this to a huge amount of friends, a few who actually got one and they loved it too. I'm going to order another 10 pound one, it is hot in the summer, but with my restless leg syndrome, I really need this blanket to get a good night's sleep. THis blanket is a worthwhile buy for anyone who needs help with their insomnia.03/12/20 UPDATE!!! This blanket is great, I have washed it at least 6 times in a commercial washer and dryer, and it is still holding strong. No unraveling of the seams, no loss of any of the minuscule glass beads. I have cats that sleep with me, and they do their kneading thing, not so much as a single snag. I haven't had issues with waking up from tossing and turning, the quality of my sleep is just as good as when I first got this blanket. I would recommend this blanket to anyone who suffers from insomnia or anxiety. My job is pretty stressful, and using this blanket has literally made me relax to the point that my mind can actually shut down. Some have mentioned that the blanket is heavy, well, yes, when you fold it up to take it someplace, it is heavy, but that's because the weight is all in one place, once it's flat, the weight redistributes as it should.05/2019 UPDATE!!! I went ahead and actually washed this blanket after my cat coughed up a hairball on it. I took it to my local laundromat because they have the commercial machines capable of handling the weight of the wet blanket. Well, let me tell you, this blanket held up just fine to it all. I dried it at he laundromat also, it only took 16 minutes on a medium heat. Three was no loosening of the stitching, no frayed edges, it came out nice and fresh and smelling great. Depending on the type of washer and dryer you have, you could probably do this at home. I did wash it with other bedding, it came out of the washer relatively dry from the spin cycle. If you do it at home in a top loader, I'd just watch for the blanket to unbalance the drum.As far as my sleep, it's still great. We are in the summer months here where I live, and it can get a little warm for me, even with my a/c on, but I tend to run hot physically. Usually, all I have to do it stick my arms out from under the blanket and I'm fine. I love this blanket, and have recommended it to many of my friends who are insomniacs like myself.**********************************************************************************************************************************I read about these on a Facebook group I belong to, and many people were recommending them. I've been an insomniac from birth, and constantly would toss and turn and wake up all night. This blanket has made a HUGE difference in my sleep. Some say it feels like a huge hug, and it does. I no longer toss and turn, and while I still wake up, the quality of the sleep I'm getting is totally 100%. I got the 15 pound blanket, a little lighter than what is recommended for me, but I also suffer from night sweats, and wasn't sure how this blanket would effect that. I have wakened only once sweating, but I don't think that was the blanket, I think it was just my body. I keep my house cool, about 68 degrees year around, and this blanket keeps me warm and snug. I have another light quilted spread on top of it, mainly to protect it from my cats, when I do get warm, I simply remove the top cover. The quality of the blanket is also excellent. It has smaller squares than some of the other blankets, the beads are smoothed out in the squares. The stitching on it is complete with no loose threads. The material is really soft, it's cotton and breathes well. This one is supposed to be washable, they drying is what will be the test since I use a public laundromat, so the weight of the wet blanket may be a bit heavy for the dryer, but time will tell.Overall, I am really satisfied with this blanket, and have already recommended it to friends. I have NEVER slept this good in my life, I wish I knew about them years ago!

Blanket to help you sleep
This blanket is amazing. You have enough weight compressed on your body it helps to fall asleep faster.
