Premium Look and Feel
I was also considering the Everlast mat:http://www.amazon.com/Everlast-Folding-Exercise-72-Inch-24-Inch/dp/B000O2GCS8/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1428701342&sr=1-1&keywords=everlast+matBut this one is thicker. The Everlast one is 1 5/8” thick; whereas, this one is 2" thick. The mat is very well constructed. It has that premium look and feel. It is firm but much more welcoming and comfortable than thick carpet or flooring. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to be rubbing and rolling their body on the floor. I would suggest you make a mark on the side that faces the floor and always use that side against it, that way, you are always using and touching a "cleaner" side - sweat aside. It does look pretty easy to clean. It is very light and easy to carry. Because it folds in half, it may not be as portable as a tri-fold mat. If that is what you want, SPRI does offer this type of mat in a trifold version with both 60" and 72" length. It isn't available on Amazon.com at this moment for 72", which is what I needed, but it is for 60". For me the bifold is more convenient for storage as it is less thick when folded. You can easily slide it behind a couch or under your bed.It would be totally cool if it came with a storage bag - zipped for convenience - that way it doesn't get dusty under a bed for example.

Get this one!
Great exercise mat! I had knee replacement surgery and have had to do exercise after exercise daily for the past three months. I got the mat soon after I got home from surgery - the floor was impossible and the bed or sofa much too soft. The first day I knew we'd become great friends. I mean, if you gotta do PT exercises - or any other kind - you need something comfy but sturdy. The pad is thick enough, the cover comfortable and attractive enough, with a handle that makes using it easy enough, that even exercise is doable - enough. PS - Thanks to all the previous reviewers who helped guide me to it!

Quality mat!
I've had 4 of these mats in my commercial gym for over a year now. They've held up excellent, very durable and quality materials. Recommended.

super comfortable!
I bought this to replace a mat that I purchased that was far too solid and felt like a piece of styrofoam. This is thankfully much softer and comfortable to use. I use this to do mostly ab exercises on my bedroom floor which is carpeted but not comfortable to try and work out on. This helps a ton and the only downside I found compared to other mats I’ve used is that it’s almost too soft and when I’m doing regular planks my hands will sink into this and bend my wrists into an uncomfortable place. Other than that it’s great for all of my other exercises and would highly recommend this! It’s long enough that I have a ton of space to work with and i never find myself falling off either side. For reference I’m 5’4” and petite so I can’t speak for anyone tall or broad. It’s a bit bulky with only two folds instead of three so you’ll definitely want some good space to store it!

I LOVE this Mat!
I LOVE this mat! Every morning I do a yoga wakeup routine for an hour, most of it on the floor, so I've accumulated some experience with mats and this mat is totally awesome! For years the best mat I could find came from Academy - a thick roll - and this Spri mat makes that one pale in comparison. It's super thick and cushy - the thickness of a wrestling mat, but softer and more comfy, of good quality materials. I first came across it at the Marriot - the hotel gym had hard floors - linoleum over concrete - and these mats. The mat was so thick that I couldn't feel the hard floor at all and did my whole floor workout with ease. Now I have one in my living room for the early morning and I'm buying another today for my little mini-gym on the porch.

Confortable and well-made - why be on some hard surface when you can have this?
We already have a room with a 3/4 thick gym floor lock together mats that we found great standing and jumping but not soft enough for our knees, sides and back. This solved the issue and is so comfortable and well made. The longer 72" one when we bought it was less money than the 60" one - I think the longer one is the better choice even if it was more as more of it is under you and less hanging off the mat. I guess if space is an issue the 60" might be better. The mat folds in half nicely for storage and can lean against a wall. For sit ups we also bought the Athlos Fitness Abdominal Trainer Exercise Mat with Tailbone Protecting Antislip Pad. This SPRI mat exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for home workouts
I’ve been setting up a work-out station in my basement and selected this mat after using the same one in a YMCA exercise class. It’s the perfect length, has comfortable cushioning, is easy to clean and folds in half to save space when not in use. Love it!
