Q: Does it have a three prong power plug that includes a ground connection?

No. It has a 2 pronged polarized power plug. I agree with the other person. I to have it in my bedroom with two front speakers. The sound is very good. There is a slight hum but I have to be right on top of the unit to hear it and only when it is on and not playing. This is not a big deal.

Q: Pictures for the 15" sub doesn't look right. Does anyone know if the pictures are legit?

You are correct. As of the time of this response, the picture for the 15" model is actually the picture of the 6.5" model. The correct picture can be found on Acoustic Audio's website at http://www.acousticaudio.net/psw15.html.

Q: I just got this today and was hoping to hook it up to the aux output of my stereo. no sound. do i have to use speaker input instead?

Make sure that your stereo is actually sending signal through your auxiliary outputs. Then make sure that your gain knob is turned up. This amplifies the incoming signal. If you still aren't getting any sound, you could try connecting a live speaker cable to the high level in. The signal will be converted to low frequency. You could use your Speaker B output on your stereo to do this. Just make sure that the B speakers are on on your stereo as well. Also make sure your subwoofer is plugged in and turned on, classic troubleshooting.

As long as you have a jack designated you can. I built my own system have 2 sub and its 1000w. My stereo is surround basically. I have this subject as my main and a smaller one to help take a little load off. I am unbelievable happy with it. SO much so that I built an exact system for my folks and came back to buy this subject again.
