A good read, anytime !!!
As usual a great one for Tintin lovers. The only issue I have is that they have changed the font of the alphabets. It's not like the times when I was younger. Anyway as I bought it for my sons, they don't find too much of a difference, except that my younger one remarked that the font looks better in the Tintins I have from when I was younger, and have kept safe. For new readers, the font would not be an issue. Keep reading !!!

Must-read ; Good introduction to comic reading.
Having read Tintin books as a kid, I wanted to introduce the comic series to my kids. This was my first Tintin purchase for my kids. Although, I would have preferred to start with the first book, it is just a matter of time for kids to get used to the Tintin characters. The book is about Tintin's adventures when he travels to middle-east & India. Hegre's unique storytelling through this famous comic series makes you and the kids glued to his books. This one book has developed so much interest for my kids that they now want to read all the series. This book "Cigars of Pharoah" continues into the next book in the series called "The Blue Lotus". So I guess, that would be my next buy.On a separate note, I wasn't impressed with the comic series that comes as a set of three books and different volumes. I would strongly encourage to purchase these large paperback versions as it is hard to read the text in those volumes.

Same item that we usually see in book-stores
Received the book in good condition. Packing was good. I think I need not say anything about the book :-)

The story is great, where tin tin goes to India investigating and ...
read it in my school library. they won't allow me to issue it more than 3 days so I decided to buy it instead. The story is great, where tin tin goes to India investigating and solve a mystery. it's nostalgic for any person who reads it 6-7 years ago and you strangely get attached to it. and no "I am not going through an endowment effect"

Sentiments attached.
The middle portion of the comic had a little tear on it. Being a collector I expect it should not be there. However the prints are great.

Wonderful Artwork
I love the Tintin books, now trying to get my niece into them as an excuse to buy them all again. I really like the hardback editions and book arrived in very good condition however I don’t know why but the new italic font is a bit off putting, also think it’s harder for kids to read.

This one is a Tintin masterpiece
This one is a Tintin masterpiece: constantly surprising by being full of ideas. It is full of laughs by being very witty in how situations are played out and characters react to being placved in those situations. The images are wonderful too, best seen on the biggest size book, which is an absolute bargain as you will see by the prices here.

Re-discovering Tintin
Re-discovering Tintin with the kids.... they are now tintin fanatics and demanding that we read more of the stories whenever possible. We ripped through this story in a few bedtime reading sessions and the kids were fixated. I found myself continuing to read after they'd drifted off to sleep.
