how high is the back, in inches?

I don't have the kayak with mounted seat nearby, but I'm 5 ft 11 in and the seat back reaches above the middle of my back, maybe 3-4 inches below my collarbone. I bought it with the higher seatback in mind.

Does this seat enable you to sit up straight while on the kayak? I cannot continue the leaning back while kayaking. It kills my back.

This is the seat that I use, after kayaking 20+years. It is adjustable.

Can any one compare this with the comfort plus seat?
