When I bought the grill did it have cover

The cover is sold separately. Model number CCVR36-BI if you built it in or CCVR36-CT if it's on a cart.

How big is the grate that the charcoal is on? Is charcoal under most of the cooking surface area?

Pretty heavy, no idea maybe around 150 lbs . It works well and looks very nice!
