Okay, pack of three dyes arrived, on time and unopened, no probs. So I used them....Righty then.Excuse the lengthy post & details but am hoping this might be helpful to anyone wanting to go from red to the blue...My hair is long. For ten years I dyed it red with Loreal Feria Pure Plum Power. Recently they discontinued that and I fancied a change. Last year I dyed the under half of my hair-with Schwarzkopf Cosmic Blue but of course on red, it came out flat black. It was a bit Dennis-the Menace so I let it fade, which it did to a slightly darker Plum.I then changed to Loreal Feria Violet Vendetta.That brought the red to a darker, more maroon plum which I quite liked, (last pic) but as my roots began to grow out past the red the resulting violet was a bit flat and blah. (My natural hair is mid brown with ever increasing amounts of grey and I keep it in good nick.)And so to now.Red is not easy to get rid of, so over the length I put Cosmic Blue again.It’s black now, still boring but I have a last box of Violet Vendetta to give it a more interesting sheen.The roots though, that’s where it got interesting.So the newest four inches of hair basically are brown and grey with a couple of layers of violet.No red so went straight to blue with that.I put the Blue Mercury over it, and left it the full time.I rinsed with cold water, towelled dry, and....it didn’t really look to have taken.Disappointed!Inside (or in yellow light) it just looked generically dark (pic1) though outside or under a spotlight it was a bit brighter (pic2).What I wasn’t expecting was that the blue continued to develop for a few days, but of course BlueMercury has a built in lightener. This colour is actually really hard to capture properly on camera but pics 3&4 are how it’s ended up after about 5 days.In the office it looks suitably sombre and a dark navy where my hair has a grey stripe, but outside or in sunshine it’s a fabulous purple blue over the grey, and a bit darker over the brown. Getting a lot of compliments! Yay!Anyhow. Not sure it will last -it’s starting to look a bit dilute around the edges which might be it washing out or the grey growing through super quick! But theoretically subsequent layers on undyed roots should make for more of the vivid colour, so I’ll be interested to see how it all pans out.if I remember, I’ll come and update in a few weeks’ time.No promises, eh?But if you put it on dark hair and nothing happens, give it five days. It might just be that it’s still developing.Points you might like to know:you put this dye on DRY hair rather than wet, so if I was doing the whole length of my hair, it would have required at least two boxes, maybe three.NB, when dying my hair I always rinse & condition as per the instructions then shampoo, condition, rinse and then just comb through a ten pence sized dollop of conditioner and leave it in (which I do at least once a week anyhow).The ends of my hair are old and have been dyed a lot of times, but this just keeps them from drying out.It also means you don’t get a blue pillow going to bed that first night!Can recommend.Best of luck!:)

It looks such a lovely colour when it works but everytime i have tried it, it has not worked. Ive brought packs in the past havent really worked didnt have any blue whatso ever just made my hair a bit darker, have other packs but again didnt work at all went another different colour. I tried once more and my hair went black, this was with bright blonde hair etc it just did not take. Its a shame 3 packs tho great for the price and quuck delievery!

Useless and a waste of money!! My hair looks exactly the same as if did before using 2 out of the three bottles, I couldn't have possibly put more on my hair it was soaked through, don't waste your money, it doesn't even give the 'healthy soft touch' either, my hair feels like straw and that is after using two of the conditioners!! I've used this brand many times a d have only disliked how the colour runs so easily, but otherwise it has always given good coverage, even when my hair was all the way down to my back two bottles would do the job and I'd use the 3rd for roots and the brand is inexpensive, but this colour is useless, I'm sure it would work on those with white or extremely light blonde, but it doesn't work on the same brown as on the box!!If it happens to develop over time then I will update my review, but for now I'm so disappointed that I bought this

I did prelighten my hair has it was blonde and brown before , but I love it the blue got more over time but I want that , yes I assume it will fade as well ... but I am 5 weeks or so blue now only had one miss hap with sweating and leaving a bit and only a bit on pillow but I’m unable to wash my hair every few days due to medical problems so can be a week or longer between washes ....... my hair can feel a bit dry but it never feels greasy and with fine hair massive problem - I love it love that I have 2 more so will be blue for a long time to come

Hiper deçu! il m'a laissé le chevaux marrons et ne pas gris, produit inutile. Achetez si vous souhaitez gaspiller votre argent!

Même sur des mèches claires, ça fait plus chaton que gris. Très decue
