Great book for kids about emotions
I bought this because I’m a social worker and this has been useful for direct work with children the bright illustrations capture their interest and most children do relate to the emotions (it also distinguishes small sadness and big sadness etc) and can identify how they feel or how they felt, my son found this in my bag and also likes talking about how he is feeling in a particular day looking through the book. Really good book to have.

Helps children discuss their feelings. Clever and well thought out.
A very well considered book for children to help identify different feelings and get them talking about their own feelings. It is refreshing not to read a story book but instead, to read one that promotes discussion. As such, this isn't really a book you "read" so much as one that you can dip in and out of. A quick flick through in advance and it can be a useful tool after a child has had a tantrum / acted / reacted in a particular way, to find the corresponding action/reaction in the book and to then help the child put words to what they were feeling. The whole range is great and well worth it for ages 3+.

The concept is good as it encourages discussion and helps children to understand ...
This book feels a little old fashioned - I think it's the pictures. The concept is good as it encourages discussion and helps children to understand and verbalise their feelings and also how they might work out how someone else is feeling. I looked around for a while before deciding to purchase this book, many of the others I found seemed too abstract and little 'american'. My four year old was quite taken with the concept, although after the first few times of reading, we haven't really revisited it much.

Really good book. I use this as a direct work tool for my job as social worker. The children love it and it really helps them to open up.The pictures, colours and words are great. Recommend highly to encourage children to identify and talk about their feelings

An excellent aide to emotional education
My 3 year old twins love this book. They ask if we're going to read it all the time. It covers all the main emotions and is an aide to start a discussion with your child exploring what they feel, why, when and how much. My twins are now able to tell me what they're feeling but also they understand to what degree and whether it's appropriate.Highly recommended

Basic feelings not complex explanation of emotions
Good basic emotions book. I did expect the book to be bigger for the price and for more explanation on emotions and how we can manage and work with them. Found disney inside out range to be better for explanation and description. This book still a good edition to help your child with introductions to their feelings
