Essential for cast iron seasoning.
This is a great product. Was happily surprised how this type of oil is superior to the cooking oils I use regularly in my kitchen to make my pan non-stick. Much better and smoother seasoning.

Great for Seasoning Cast Iron
I used it to reseason my lodge 12 inch skillet. It worked well in putting a seasoning coat on my skillet. Just follow the direction and dont use dish soap to clean your skillet.

The spray itself is amazing. Not a six pack as shown in image.
This works perfectly to season and protect cast iron. Very easy to use and leaves the pans looking shiny. However it's kinda shady to use a six pack as the only picture when you actually only get one can. I guess you got me this time and I'll have to read description better next time.

Hoping you all use the Lodge brand cast iron as that brand is indeed number one, this seasoning spray is a quality spray and best for your pans when giving them a clean.... accept no substitute !

Exactly what I needed

This is the absolute best thing on the market for seasoning cast iron pans. I have one from my in-laws that was probably a wedding gift for them in the 1940's (the marking on the back is "T. Eaton & Co."!). I have re-seasoned it a few times and it always turns out perfect. Important: follow the instructions! Also, for anyone who struggles to keep their cast iron pans from sticking, remember that you need to heat the pan up to temp BEFORE adding any oil. Then wait until the oil is shimmering (not smoking!) before adding any food. Then, after use, wipe out and spray with this oil. Hopefully it will work as well for you as it does for me!
