I am definitely not new to hard work as an athlete, but as I shift to a primary focus of lifting, I'm learning more about different supplements and howthey can be useful to me. Someone suggested I look into adding BCAAs to my day. Researching, I found that branched-chain amino acids are crucial for muscle recovery, not just after a workout, but throughout the day as your muscle repairs itself. That sounds like a winner to me, so I tried a few different brands and found Genius BCAA.I really like the Genius Brand supplements as a whole because they follow how I try to live my life - high quality, all natural, raw ingredients. I'm just not into putting highly manufactured products I don't understand into my body where I can avoid it. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm trying to raise my 3 girls as clean as possible, and I don't want them to see me supplementing my workouts with anything that isn't the same -- not the best way to show them a healthy lifestyle. Genius Brand products that I have tried have helped me with that.I have used Genius BCAA for about a month and I was pretty shocked at the results immediately. I didn't know what to expect because I'm knew to supplements and don't have a lot to compare it to. I was advised to use BCAAs during my workouts. What I've noticed is:* Increased focus - I work out very early in the morning and am finding that I am dialed in more, able to push through and mentally stay in my zone.* High energy - Genius BCAA has a small amount of caffeine in it. But the boost isn't a jittery, shaky boost at all. I have found an extra boost when I need to push through a tough push or hard set. That extra boost is pretty incredible as it has definite staying power.* Pump - Dang. This has been fairly significant. I'm definitely getting increases in maxes and pushing through hard sets, but the pump I am seeing is intense. I have never gotten an intense and lasting pump before until adding Genius BCAA to my workout.* Recovery - I am often adding a lift to my workout because I have more energy (and having to do cardio later because I run out of time!), which means I have definitely expected to be half dead later, but my muscle recovery is going amazing. I have tested to see if I feel different using BCAAs during my workouts and when I don't and I'm seeing a significant difference.On days that I have really been tired, I have stacked BCAAs with Genius Pre in the mornings - Pre when I wake up and then BCAAs when I am working out. Totally on fire those days. And still, not finding any crazy shaking or anything. I have a VERY sensitive stomach and no GI issues at all.This is a winner product for me. One scoop, awesome.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wasn't sure how to rate because I love this product overall, and I use this brand (Genius) for several products and they're all great... I recently had to switch to the Orange flavor though and hated it - at least compared to the Grape Limeade. For my wife and I, the Grape Limeade tasted like bubblegum in a drink... so maybe that's too sweet for other people but we can't get enough.

I literally just got my new bottle today, and it's barely over half full. It's $35! Rip off!

I started my review for their "Pre" like this so let me just say it again that first off let me just say I can only be honest as lying will not benefit anyone, if the product doesn't serve you then you can return it but I doubt you will be doing this.The high rating of stars is real, the praise this brand gets is real and the hype is all real. This "pre" is some high quality stuff. We as fitness individuals really need to understand what we are consuming. Artificial Sweeteners are NOT a good thing in your your food OR fitness supplements....what a big contraindication. But most products are littered with it!Now to the review, I've been in the fitness industry since 99' and I have had a lot of products. When it comes to BCAA's you have to know that most companies source it from animal/human hair and nails. Not a very delectable, desireable, clean or reliable source.Vegan(plant based) instatized(fast dissolving) aminos here. Now I've read the previous reviews that it just bad tasting or not good.....SOOO NOT true it just isn't very sweet like others in its category or even the pre by the same company but doesn't even really need to be? and it taste exactly like the flavor profile it's stated to be citrus/orange, that's another thing that I read: it doesn't tastes like it stated, incorrect as well. It reminds me exactly of the taste the original Gatorade USED to be in the 70's and 80's, which basically a slightly sweet, but more on the slightly sour/salt water taste, which is refreshing honestly! People drank that with no problem and drink the now quite sweet version without any rebuttal.This is a refreshing orange taste people...yes the initial taste is like "hmm not at all sweet" but a good and real tasting orange flavor nonetheless.The quality is what matters and it is all HERE as with their "pre" and other products as well.Keeps you energized, anabolic...profile is good enough to work on it's own as a pre, I've read reviews of women doing that and I see why. And again a refreshing taste, not a sweet beverage/desert taste fueled by Sucralose/AceK combo that we are used to consuming. This is not a hippie formula where you know you're getting the quality but you just suck it up on the smell and taste just to consume it....no it really is refreshing and nowhere near awful tasting. Trust me I would say it if it were true.Bcaa's are good for anti-catabolism, muscular energy, and mechanical output. This is a great product by a seemingly great brand that gets it. i usually start my day off with caffeine boost. i've been trying to search around for a "cleaner" boost and something a little bit more healthy. wanted something with less sugars and not so much of a crash. I like that this drink helps me continue thru my work day without feeling so sluggish towards the end of my shift. This also helps to give me the extra boost when im running on less sleep. something my coffee or even energy drinks couldn't do without me reaching for a second serving about mid day. I would like to think my tolerance for caffeine is pretty high, but i use one scoop and it had helps to get me thru the day. also have been using it with the pre workout which helps me to stay on track even during normal times (after lunch) when my attention span starts to wane. The only complaint it that it does leave a white powdery residue if you mix it with cold water (which most of these drinks do). i've started using warm to little bit more than warm water to mix it during the initial mixing, then add more cold water after.
