Would these in adult sizr be good for a 6ft 2 male??

For sure. These one for adults, not for children. Im 35 and it fits perfect. You can adjust sort of tension.

What does adult\youth mean? Why isnt sizing clear?

I got them and they fit my 10 year old girl and 12 year old boy.... Bit roomy on herself but still ok.

Will the youth/teen size fit my slim 6 year old?

More yes then no. I bought it for my 13 year old daughter and it was too tight but for my other 7 year old daughter (slim) it did fit perfectly. There are adjustable Velcro straps on all parts so you can adjust as tight as you need. Only but could be a bulkiness. It might look big on 6 year old but it will fit.

Do the child size ones fit an adult female? Would they fit a teenage girl (around 17 years old)?

No my wife got some and way too tight .and my wife is only 4ft- inch tall ok
