Wild Grains of Glory: An Epic Journey with 365 by Whole Foods Market, Long Grain Brown
In the vast culinary landscape, where grains battle for supremacy on our plates, there emerges a champion—365 by Whole Foods Market's Long Grain Brown and Wild Rice. An unassuming 8.8-ounce pack, it may seem at first glance, but what lies within is a mighty fusion that brings kingdoms of flavor and texture to your table. Buckle up, dear reader, as I recount the legendary tale of a rice blend that transforms ordinary meals into epic feasts! The Heroic Packaging: The journey begins with the packaging itself—a clean, rustic design that promises simplicity yet sophistication, much like the grainy warriors it guards. A sturdy, resealable pouch, it withstands the trials of storage, protecting its contents from the ravages of time and moisture. The vivid image of earthy, wild rice against a backdrop of verdant fields teases the adventure that awaits within. The Unveiling: A Symphony of Grains As you open the pouch, the aromatic promise of nutty goodness wafts up like the first notes of an overture. Behold! The golden-brown long grain rice mingles effortlessly with its darker, wilder counterpart—each grain distinct, yet harmonizing in a visual tapestry of earthy tones. The wild rice, with its slender, black shards, is a rebel amongst the ranks, a rogue knight that adds depth and character to the ensemble. The Cooking Quest: A Test of Patience and Precision Into the bubbling cauldron (or more likely, your trusty saucepan) they go, with the instruction manual akin to a spellbook: 1 ¾ cups of water to 1 cup of rice, a dash of salt, a drizzle of olive oil for those who wish to invoke the spirit of a Mediterranean breeze. The simmering begins, and this is where patience proves its virtue. For 30-35 minutes, the grains undergo a transformation, absorbing water, swelling with flavor, and filling your kitchen with an intoxicating aroma that speaks of faraway fields and ancient traditions. The Final Form: A Culinary Masterpiece At the end of this culinary pilgrimage, you are rewarded with a bowl of perfectly cooked rice. Each grain stands tall and separate, yet together they form a harmonious whole. The long grain brown rice is chewy yet tender, a faithful squire that carries the robust, nutty flavor of the wild rice. The wild rice adds a delightful crunch, a little rebellion in each bite, bringing complexity and intrigue. This is a textural symphony, a grain opera, a concerto of taste that dances on the tongue with every mouthful. Flavor Realms Explored: But wait, the adventure does not end with the first bite. No, dear reader, this rice blend is a versatile companion, ready to embark on countless culinary quests! In stir-fries, it’s a valiant base that holds its own against the fiercest of vegetables and the most formidable of proteins. As a side dish, it shines like a loyal knight next to roasted meats, grilled fish, or even humble beans. And if you’re feeling truly audacious, transform it into a wild rice salad with cranberries, nuts, and a citrusy vinaigrette—an ambrosial feast fit for the gods! Nutritional Valor: The Undying Strength In terms of nutrition, this grainy hero does not disappoint. With each serving, it delivers a hearty dose of fiber, keeping you full and fortified for your daily battles. Low in fat, sodium, and free from gluten, it caters to a myriad of dietary quests. Whether you’re a plant-based paladin or a carnivorous crusader, this blend fits seamlessly into your daily dietary tapestry. Verdict: The Ultimate Grain Crusade So, dear epicurean adventurer, if you seek a humble yet heroic grain companion, look no further than the 365 by Whole Foods Market Long Grain Brown and Wild Rice. With its versatile flavor profile, textural delights, and nutritional benefits, it is not merely rice—it is an epic culinary journey waiting to be undertaken. Brown rice
It was very small packet for just one person one meal. I’m not sure if it was worth the money, but it tasted good and it mixed well with the other food.

Nice mix of brown and wild rice
These are single serving size packets, but enough for a meal. The brown rice and wild rice makes a nice mix. You can heat it in the microwave, or reheat it in a pan on your stove. Already precooked, so it’s just heat and serve. Easy to add a rice dish to your meal with these packets.

False advertising on the serving size
This tastes great, there's nothing wrong with the quality of this product. I took off 2 stars because at the time of putting this review up, Amazon has images claiming 2 servings when in reality it is one serving (see my image's).
