This was a birthday present for my 5yo niece and let me tell you, it was definitely the best present she could have gotten. She has throughly enjoyed making her own lip glosses. There is enough product left over, that when she finishes what she made, she can make more custom flavors!

Item arrived slow but definitely worth the wait once I received the item my 4 year old absolutely jumped with joy as I sat down at the table and created these beautiful colors

This was a really fun and interesting project kit. Making fun balm was entertaining and educating. You will need to supervise for the hot water to melt the wax, but other than that it was a fun family project. Picking the different scents is really fun and then seeing the end product!

Daughter loved it but the quality of lip balm was not it. For a kid not bad.

I bought this kit to help keep my 8 year old busy and as a rainy day activity for the summer. She loved the process and was impressed with the result. The box states it’s recommended for ages 6 and up, but my 8 year old needed plenty of help. One of the steps requires boiling water and placing the cup into it as the way to melt the wax base and beads for the chapstick. The cup floats, so I had to help her hold it down while she stirred the contents. This was the only step she could not do on her own both for personal safety reasons and coordination. This is a fun kit for kids who are hands on and a fun alternative to the “slime frenzy”lately.

I gave this to my daughter as a Birthday present and if I could give this zero stars then I would.....we couldn't even get 3 of the lids off of the lip balms...it's like they were glued on there....and the wax beads WOULDN'T MELT and I did exactly what the directions said to do....I even tried microwaving them after the boiling water failed to work...and even after being microwaved they wouldn't melt! So it was impossible to even MAKE the lip balm because it was a chunky, waxy MESS. This was literally horrible 😫

I bought this for my 2 granddaughters ages 10 & 8. They were very excited to make these attractive looking lip balms. Unfortunately it turned out not to be fun at all. Most of the work had to be done by me, an adult. It doesn’t advise the kids to mix the wax and pellets in the tiny plastic mixing container held down in a cup of newly boiled water!! Obviously! I ended up doing all the mixing/melting myself and scolding my fingers several times while trying to hold the little plastic beaker down in the super hot water. They did not melt quickly and I ended up constantly changing the water to have it hot enough to melt the small amount of mixture inside.Also, the small amount of ingredients included in the set were making it stressful to make sure we had enough to fill the 5 tubes of lip balm included. In the end we were able to fill all 5 tubes, because I, the adult filled the tubes from the tiny beaker so they wouldn’t spill and waste the ingredients.They came out ok but 85% of the work had to be done by me.Tip:The little scooper provided to measure the wax was hard to empty into the beaker w the spatula provided so I used a lobster pik with a flat edge. It saved a lot of time & annoyance.
