Well-tolerated magnesium with noticeable benefits
I’ve tried a few different magnesium supplements over the years, and this one has been the easiest for me to tolerate. The capsules are easy to take, and I appreciate that this is a chelated form, which is known for better absorption compared to some other types. After using it consistently, I noticed improvements in overall relaxation and muscle comfort, especially in the evenings. It didn’t upset my stomach, which has been an issue for me with other magnesium products in the past. This has become a regular part of my routine, and I’m very happy with the quality and consistency so far. If you’re looking for a high-quality magnesium supplement that’s gentle and effective, this one is worth considering.

Best way to take it
I have a very hard time sleeping because I workout late. Now the pills are huge but the best way to take them so it hits you fast is I use a pill crusher. I crush the pills and shake in in juice 2 hours before I plan to sleep . This is for the fast absorption without taking time to digest. But once it’s in your system my sleep has gotten way better. Remember magnesium is so important for your health.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT IN MANY WAYS (Stess, Anxiety, Insomnia)!!! Read on to benefit from my research.
Your reasons for coming across this product are probably varied. One thing you may have found frustrating was trying to determine which type of magnesium (atomic symbol for magnesium is Mg) is right for you (there are over 20 magnesium variations and I researched them all). From the very basic (Mg) hydroxide (often used in products to aid in clearing constipation...think Milk of Magnesia) to this finest form of (Mg), Magnesium Glycinate (Mg that has undergone a chelating process with another chemical compound, lysinate). So what does this mean to you? Magnesium glycinate is the most bioavailable form of (Mg) there is. By going through the chelating process this (Mg) has the smallest size molecular structure of all of the (Mg)s. It makes it's way into all of your tissues and most importantly IT CAN PASS THE BLOOD/BRAIN BARRIER. Not long after taking you will most likely notice a calming effect. Magnesium Glycinate has long been called the original supplemental "chill pill". It acts as a calmative on the entire nervous system. One person got ahold of me with the information that this product even helped with her IBS. Makes sense considering it's nerve calming effect. I was seeking out a product that would help with STRESS/ANXIETY during the day AND also act as an aid with my ONSET (difficulty falling asleep) INSOMNIA as well as my EARLY AWAKENING INSOMNIA. I found what I needed right here and so have my friends that have ordered and used the product after my success. Two tablets (400 mg total) is listed as 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance. That is a minimal number. It can be well exceeded. That value does not take into account the fact that about 70% of the U.S. population is (Mg) deficient. I take one 200mg tab twice a day to help with stress/anxiety. If you are really bad off take 2. Would you like help in falling asleep and staying asleep? Take between 400 mg and 800 mg at bed time. You would of course start at 400 mg. I was successful with 400 mg for 3 days, then 600 for 3 days, the finally at 800 mg. If you have any concerns make the jumps 1 week apart. Magnesium has it's own way of letting you know if you have gone beyond your maximum threshold...you will get diarrhea. No long and protracted bout, but you will know (remember the Milk of Magnesia?). Perhaps go back to your pre-diarrhea level, or better yet slow down in the increase speed. The body will most likely adjust. Now, as to this product having any interactions with medications you may already be taking. Just Google a "medication and supplement interaction checker". For me I had one interaction and that was with my gabapentin. I must take my (Mg) two hours before taking my gabapentin or the proper absorption or the gabapentin could be stunted. This is the most common medication interaction with (Mg). Don't want that. In summary I find this product to be a VERY effective tool in dealing with stress, anxiety, and insomnia! What could be better? Good Luck, Todd ***UPDATE*** I was disappointed that I could not take this magnesium at bedtime due to my taking of gabapentin. There is most definitely a "golden hour" of relaxation with this product. I contacted my physician regarding the gabapentin/ magnesium glycinate issue. There is NO requirement to separate this product from your gabapentin. The interaction I found was with more elemental forms of (Mg). I now take at bedtime and fall asleep faster and with a more serene feeling. I apologize for the incorrect information.

Gentle on the Stomach and Truly Effective I’ve tried several forms of magnesium over the years, and this Doctor’s Best High Absorption Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate is one of the few that consistently delivers results without the stomach upset some other types can cause. The tablets are small enough to swallow easily, and I like that each serving provides 200 mg of elemental magnesium that’s chelated for better absorption. After a couple of weeks of steady use, I noticed more restful sleep and fewer nighttime muscle cramps—something that had been bothering me after workouts. Unlike magnesium oxide or citrate, this doesn’t send me running to the bathroom, which makes it much more practical for daily use. The bottle size is generous (240 tablets), so it lasts a good while, even with regular use. Things to keep in mind: the tablets are a bit chalky if you let them sit on your tongue too long, so swallowing quickly with water is best. Also, while two tablets is a serving, people with higher needs may want to discuss dosage adjustments with their doctor. Bottom line: A well-absorbed, stomach-friendly magnesium that supports sleep, relaxation, and muscle health—an excellent choice for long-term supplementation.

Better then i expected it would be
So i bought this August 11, 2020, its been a little over 30 days and i have to say this is probably the best product i have ever tried to help with anxiety, lets get into details to help those who are looking for relief as well and want to compare symptoms and what this actually helps fix. Right off the back i bought this after doing tons of research and trying to find a something i could take to help with anxiety that would not have adverse side effects and make me feel dependent on any particular medication in order function. My symptoms for anxiety are, tingling of hands and or feet, elevated heart rate, tension headaches, dry eyes, numbness, palpitations, personality changes and arrhythmia. So as you can see i definitely needed something to help with this as i was having a melting pot of symptoms, now these all stem from me being a hypochondriac and constantly in my head thinking something is wrong when in fact it is not and I'm actually fine. but that's what anxiety is right, making you feel off when you're actually fine. I found this product and began to look deeper into the benefits of magnesium and i was shocked to find out this mineral is responsible for over 300 functions in our body and with current American diets we don't consume enough food to ensure we are receiving our recommended amount of MG. Leafy greens, nuts, oats and some fresh fruit are the only known sources naturally for magnesium. Now lets be honest with ourselves, unless you are eating a completely healthy diet and you don't consume unnecessary food then you can be sure you are not getting enough MG. The stats on various website ( not citing them you can look them up there are plenty) show that the average individual is suffering form a MG deficiency, which include and or not limited to numbness, tingling, muscle cramps, seizures, muscle spasms, personality changes and abnormal heart rhythms. I had a good portion of these symptoms as stated above. Upon taking this product, the very first pill (i swear i kid you not ) i felt an immediate change in mood and sense of smell. Later on i began to notice my eye sight was sharper (not that it was bad at all) i could just make out things that use to be blurry and i had double vision that was going away. The anxiety didn't go down until about three days in, i noticed my attacks were very frequent and almost non existent but they had there moments, Muscle spasms didn't stop until i upped the dosage to two pills a day ( i started with one as i wanted to adjust my body to receiving MG from a supplement and to see for side effects), my mood was also better i wasn't having so many swings from feeling good to being aggravated and not wanting to be bothered. Here are my general stats to aid in you finding a solution Age: 32 Race: African-American/Black Gender: Male Body Type: Muscular with fat All in all i think this product is fantastic and i have been recommending it to friends and family non stop. If you are suffering from some of the symptoms i labeled and or just have anxiety or you just want to be more health conscious, then i highly advise you to start here. Great for anxiety with no laxative effect
I’ve been jumping through hoops to get my protracted withdrawals under control and I’ve tried just about all Magnesium’s and I can say, the chelated Glycinate is the “Natural Xanax” one for anxiety, sleep, mood, and “mental health”. I can’t imagine how many people are addicted to antidepressants/benzos when they’re clearly are just not getting magnesium. Although this one is a little bit more pricy, this was rated well on Labdoor and I have had no GI pain taking these. I have gotten GI pain which felt like getting slashed and stabbed all over my gut. I was taking a “poorer” brand and others have too mentioned that side effect. Luckily I have not had that issue with these guys and I’ll continue to purchase this. The pills are actually smaller than all other magnesium pills I’ve had. Magnesium is water-soluble so it’s safe to take on an empty stomach (I’ve done it and I have IBS). My panic attacks are severely reduced and I’m able to sleep through more nights without being woken up by my cortisol alarm clock at 3AM. Best of all, it’s not adding to my IBS adventures! EDIT NOV 2018 I have ceased magnesium pills! My levels are great now. Yay! My symptoms have greatly reduced and I noticed when I take them, I feel foggy + anxious/weird for a day. Researching this, this can definitely happen with too much Mg. This does not mean this is a bad product, no not at all, I recommend this brand to everyone suffering from what I did to myself lol. I wouldn’t have recovered so well without these suppliments, they helped me reached what I was missing. When I realized this, I stopped taking them and my mental/physical state went back to normal very next day. Update February 2019 I do not take these as often as I did when I was going through withdrawals, maybe up to 3 times a week as I’m getting a good of magnesium through food. No pain and I have a FANTASTIC nights sleep! I continually suggest these magnesium pills! Update May 2019 Take every once in awhile when I’m feeling stressed and I know my diets been slacking. Still no GI pain and I’m able to sleep normally. Fantastic, please don’t change this formula!

Great magnesium but hard to swallow
This is good magnesium BUT these pills are large, hard as rocks and difficult to swallow. I cut every one in half with my pill cutter and I still don't enjoy taking them. Discovering my severe magnesium deficiency and taking 4 of these throughout the day has eliminated my leg cramps, sleepless nights and lowered my blood pressure. And, I feel calmer during the day. A game changer for my life. But, I may try to find capsules. This brand is good though.
