Not as far as I can tell. It appears to be enamel coated.

what is the height fron the base to top and how thick the base?

4.5 cm from base to top. Can't measure the base with my tape measure but I would describe it as a good think pan. I bought mine because I gave the one my father had to my son. Dad was an ironmonger from the 50's for about thirty years. He thought it was the best pan when he got it during the 70's probably from seeing it on holidays in France (we used to go to Corsica) If you ever find a better frying pan, will you let me know. I like to size of mine.

When the pan is using, the handle will be very hot?

no, Ive been using all three of mine and never had an issue on the hob with them the handle stays quite cool. It is only if you decide to band them in the oven when the handle goes hot. Loving all three pans I have, they are the best. Have looked after them never washing with soap just hot water and the odd seasoning now and then and they are as non stick as teflon now.

Does this pan fit into an average sized oven? (A little worried handle is too long)

I ve just checked: handle 24 cms/ Total:51cms. The pan fits in my oven. Otherwise: top quality, easy to wash, delicious food. Down side: heavy, but managable. Sonia
