Perfect for slicing through my homemade bread
I’ve purchased several Mercer knives and they’ve all been high quality, super sharp, and durable. For the price, it can’t be beat. This particular knife makes cutting through the hard crust on my homemade bread a breeze and compared to a regular knife, I don’t have to press down on the bread as hard to get clean cuts. If you’re like me and don’t cook often but want quality knives, I highly recommend Mercer knives.

Best bread knife I've owned!
I've had multiple bread knives over the years but I have to say....this Mercer Millennia10-Inch Bread Knife puts all others in the dust! BE VERY CAREFUL, this knife is wickedly sharp!! It has a lot more weight than the others but it helps in cutting the bread with ease. I really like how the handle is off-set up from the blade. The blade length is adequate even with my largest loaves. I remind myself each time I pick up the knife, that this bugger is scalpel sharp and to take my time--no rush!! I am so very glad I purchased this bread knife. The only con is that it doesn't have a plastic sheath to protect the blade--which it should honestly. As far as edge retention, only time will tell and how well it sharpens when that day comes. (I'll update in the future how well this knife holds up.)

Don’t even question it. Buy this knife!
Don’t even question it. Buy this knife. It cuts like buttah! I even use it for things other than bread. I cut an orange with it yesterday and it practically melted through the orange like it was nothing, think warm knife through butter. It was a thing of beauty. I wish they made a slightly smaller version for things like this. Beautiful, perfect cut, no shaggy or jagged roughness in the cut. Just a perfectly clean cut fit for a magazine shoot. I’m really happy with this inexpensive purchase! It’s still brand new for me, so I hope it holds up.

Cuts a sourdough like butter!!
5 Stars for the Mercer Culinary M23210 Bread Knife. Oh-where do I even begin with this serrated superstar? This knife doesn’t just cut bread; it performs a full-on Broadway musical number on your sourdough. With each slice, it sings, I’m gonna make you toast! and delivers clean, crumb-minimized cuts that would make a bakery jealous. The handle? It’s like shaking hands with a confident baker-firm, comfortable, and slightly flour-dusted (okay, that last part’s on me). I swear this knife has a PhD in ergonomics. It’s so easy to grip, I accidentally started slicing air just to keep the good vibes going. Now, let’s talk precision. This blade glides through crusty baguettes like a hot knife through… well, butter, obviously. I tried it on a loaf so dense it could’ve doubled as a doorstop, and it didn’t even blink. It just whispered, Challenge accepted, and left me with slices so perfect I considered framing them. Cleanup? A breeze. It’s dishwasher-safe, but I hand-wash it anyway because I’m convinced this knife deserves a spa day after its heroic feats. My only complaint? It’s too good. Now my friends expect artisanal bread platters at every potluck, and I’m running out of excuses to show off my knife skills. In summary, if you want a bread knife that’s part chef, part therapist, and part stand-up comedian, the Mercer Culinary M23210 is your guy. Buy it, love it, and maybe start a fan club.

The cook likes it
Hubby is the cook and he loves it. We get WILDGRAIN and it comes frozen. He is able to make quick work of slicing with this knife. Quality is great and it serves its purpose
