Big Joe Original Bean Bag Chair, Flaming Red

I want to start by saying that I did NOT receive this product for free or a discounted price. I simply needed a bean bag chair and chose this one and paid full price. This is just my honest experience with this product; I hope it helps!I bought this for my son so that he could lay on the floor in our spare room and watch TV. I never viewed bean bag chairs as all that great, but this one has impressed me. First, it's huge. When laid flat on the floor, it takes up a large part of the free space in our over-sized spare room. It's as wide as a twin mattress. Second, I LOVE the fabric it's covered with. It is very thick and durable. Think of the fabric covering of nice patio furniture- it's like that. It is not plush or fleece-y, but I actually find that a plus because that makes it very easy to scrub with a damp washcloth to get spills or dirt out. My son is 9 and often sneaks snacks and juice boxes into the spare room and he is NOT very tidy (we call him "the unstealthiest ninja") and yet, thanks to this type of fabric, it still looks new even though we have had it for about 9 months now.Another great thing about it is that you can squish it and shape it however you want so you can lay on it like a bed, or sit on it like a chair, or lounge in it like a hammock (turn it on its long side and squish the seam down in the middle), or anything in between. Oh, and I am 5'8" and weigh 250 lbs (AKA "a big girl") and I sit in it far often than I thought I would because its so friggin' comfortable. My husband is 5'10" and weighs a deal more than me and even HE says its comfortable and will often pull it into the living room and play video games while sitting on it instead of the sofa.It came with the perfect amount of bean stuffing. When I first pulled it out of the box, I didn't think it seemed as full as it could be. But once you sit on it, you realize how perfect it is. It can't be stuffed to the brim, otherwise you can't shape it. It's the perfect amount of stuffing for my son, my 13-month-old daughter, and for me & my husband. Now, with continued use, those little beans do smoosh down and become more condensed, but not as bad as you'd think. About a month ago (8 months in) we thought it could use some 'umpf' & bought the big bag of refill beans. We actually ended up not putting in as much as we thought we needed - maybe a grocery bag full - and now we have a giant box full of leftover beans in our basement. They should last us quite a while (probably years).Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

I was afraid to confess what I'd done with this beanbag because I was sure everyone might think me bonkers but now I will. I bought what is really a HUGE bean bag pillow but didn't want it as a 'chair', I wanted something that would mold to my own body to SLEEP on when put on top of our mattress. I have for the past 20 years had a hard time staying asleep and wake frequently with aching, arms, or legs asleep (I'm guessing from blocked blood flow), and backaches. I usually get up and use the bathroom just to move and not because I need to use the bathroom at all. Then saw this huge pillow not shaped like a chair (but advertised as one).I've been using this now since I received it but wanted to wait to see if what was happening was just a fluke. I have been sleeping like a baby! No pain, no aches and the ONLY time I used the bathroom was because I needed to and only once a night, not the usual 4-5 times HAHAHAHA! So this is definitely CHANGE! I'm 70 years old and like others my age have suffered both injuries and usual changes that occur as you age.Instead of using 'contouring' pillows and wedges for back, knees, and arms that are awkward and cannot mold to movement (I know because I've tried them), the foam beads in these giant pillows can be contoured by your hands AND your body so it's like sleeping inside a personal nest or womb designed for just YOUR body's shape and needs. It's also easy to shift and slide around.P.S. for those who think memory foam does the same, no it doesn't. I had an 8"-thick memory foam on our bed for about two years and finally had to take it off. It was more akin to sleeping in hot mud or wet clay, was too uncomfortable and offers no support.Oh, I also just bought a second one of these beanbags! Rock N Roll .... and sleep!

Absolutely as expected.. durable and comfortable, excellent fabric if you need to wipe it down.Zipper... so you can remove or add stuffing to your personal "fulness" desired.I selected the green color so I could use it in photography as a prop and sort of use the green screen elimination option.My adult daughter sat on it in a corner and loved it! We also use it to pose babies, there is enough empty play to it, that you can shape it in various ways. I always had problems with "overstuffed" bean bags and didn't want that... This bag/chair comes with a perfect amount of fill, allowing you to configure it to your liking.One person can carry it around easily, in the studio, I have one of those hanging nets to put pillows and other extras in.. this is light weight and goes in that fine.I think that if you are a camper, this would be nice inside a tent... I plan to get another one so my grandsons can each have their own to watch TV on.Have a back problem? This is a lower back stress reliever! You can find that perfect angle and just settle in. The ultimate reading cushion.The only thing that's missing is a cup holder... I like cappuccino and there is no way to "safely" park your drink with this bean chair.Would I recommend it? YES.. very very pleased.

These chairs are economically priced, large, and durable. They are not super soft and comfortable right out of the box, but we are hoping that changes over time. We bought 4 of these as an alternative to a couch to watch movies as a family in our children's playroom.The material used to encapsulate the Styrofoam beads is quite 'slippery', meaning if you attempt to stack two bags on top of each other and sit on top, they'll slide apart. There is a slight scent that is not quite appealing, but it's nothing that I would complain about at this very affordable price. Also, there is not an inner bag, so machine washing in the outer bag would be impossible.

Beans compress. Had to buy more beans to fill it after a few weeks.

Good price, great product, super fast shipping.I'll have a hard time giving this to my kid for Christmas. I want it for myself. It's so comfortable!

Do not buy. Beans sack in after a month.
