Star rating depends on how you use it.
I give this 5 stars overall based on the way I use it. However, my method is different from how it was intended to be used. As intended to be used, as many others have found, washing in it by filling with water and turning the handle can be difficult with poor results. Instead, I remove the spin basket, put my clothes in, fill 3/4 of the way full with water and 1.5 teaspoons of detergent and let everything soak for a while. Then I hand-agitate the clothes for a minute or so. I have a mini washboard that I then stick into the washer to help scrub out any stains or extra dirty bits, then maybe hand agitate for another minute. If you've soaked your stuff for a bit then you don't need to hand agitate for a long time. Then I drain the water and rinse twice with clean water. Then I remove the clean wet clothes and pop in the spin basket. I very, very gently wring everything then spin out my clothes, filling the basket only about a third of the way full and being careful to have things lay evenly in the basket. I spin for about a minute and a half per spin load and get quite a lot of water out. Then hang to dry! I'm short so I find standing on a stool for the hand washing and spinning gives me better leverage and makes it easier.I'm very happy with this washer because after reading the reviews, I bought it expecting I'd likely use it solely to spin out clothing hand washed in the sink, and I was pleased to see I can actually do the hand washing right in the washer with the basket removed, freeing up my sink during the soaking time. Plus I fit more in the washer than I can in my sink! Previously I was using one of those collapsible electric washing machines that sit next to the sink and do a couple t-shirts at a time or some socks and underwear, and after using it daily for only about 8 months it began to leak substantial amounts of water into the bottom motor compartment, so I threw it out and moved to hand washing, but still needed a way to spin without buying an actual motorized spin dryer, which are great but not suitable for my current living situation. Leisurewize LW569 Eco Washer is perfect for my current needs and spins out more water than the little collapsible motorized washer I had to throw away. It's also cheaper and I don't have to worry about accidentally electrocuting myself with water leaking into the electrics area, because there are no electrics!

Good value and effective eco friendly washing machine
Bought this as it's eco friendly and because our washing machine packed up and couldn't afford a decent replacement (zanussi or equivalent).ProsEasy to useGets clothes clean really well (I use a washing board for any stubborn stains), got curry sauce out of a white t-shirt with no stains.Lightweight and compactEco/budget friendly - uses far less water and no electricGets a little workout in for your armsMuch easier than handwashing with no aidsSpin dry works well, just don't expect it to be the same as with an electric one.ConsThe lid could do with a locking mechanism or clip as it can come loose.Hose clip is a bit flimsySeems to have a slow leak if leaving items to soak for long periods of timeSuction cups aren't great, could do with being a bit biggerDon't over fill as the water buoyancy will force the lid offWhilst you can fit heavier items like towels, hoodies etc you will need to wring out excess water to get the most out of the spin drying.Overall I'm very happy with this handwashing machine, I've only knocked stars off for the constructive criticisms mentioned above. You do need to put in some effort vs the convenience of an electric machine but I personally don't find this to be an issue

Not very useful
Very limited capacity for washing and no instructions provided. An expensive way of spinning as l will still us a larger plastic container to soak and hand wash my clothes when camping

Broke with little use, don't see the point.
I bought this washer to dry my gym kit after the gym as i didn't want to use my washing machine on most days just to get my kit washed which only a few item. My gym kit consist of a light weight moisture wicking t-shirt, a short in the same material, a slightly thicker compression short, a pair of cotton ankle socks and a small lightweight quicky dry hand towel. All of which weighs 434grams.I mention the weight as this appear to be the limit to washer. I've used the washer 8 times, for me that's 2 weeks of gym visit's and the handle has already broken. I load the washer with 4 liters of water to wash my kit but I don't use the spinner function as that's more weight then the washer seem to be able to hand so tend to use a small plunger to agitate the clothes in the water to clean it and only use the spinner basket wring out the kit.I could hand wash my kit (which is sort of what I'm doing with the washer) but didn't want to wring by hand my kit as over time it will over stretch or tear seems of the garments. So after washing the kit in the tub I let the water drain then rinse out the kit with clean water then attach the lid to spin the kit dry. Here's where it struggles i imagine now the the wet garment weigh a lot more but it should be able to handle it otherwise its pointless. It really does struggle, I'll balance the load in the basket as best and it does spin out a lot of the water but the I can feel the handle struggle so I split the load into 3 parts so i can get a better spin with out so much force on the handle. After 8 uses the handles given up and broken! i can still use it but the handle is loose, i think even if the handle falls off i can still use it by jamming stick in place of the handle to use it but the i really feel like it should break after so little use. I don't believe I've abused it but i do need the garment to not come out still dripping therefore i do want to spin the garment to remove as much moisture so it require a good spin otherwise i wouldn't have bothered to buy it.I can't see any practical use for this and I imagine it'll be landfill (I'll recycle) very soon unfortunately!
