I almost returned this excavator before even giving it to my son because I was worried the controls would be too complicated for him (he’s 4). I’m so glad I didn’t. The controls are simple and clearly designed with younger kids in mind. The arm and bucket move together as one motion, which makes it much easier for him to dig and dump without getting frustrated about which button to push or which direction to use. I also love that it comes with two rechargeable batteries, so you can always have one charging and ready to go while the other is in use. He absolutely loves it and spends tons of time playing with it in the dirt alongside his dump truck. If your child is into construction equipment, this is a huge hit. We did run into a small issue with the cab rotation making a clicking noise, but the customer service was outstanding. I sent the company a short video (on Christmas night), and by the time I woke up the next day(!) they responded and offered to ship a replacement right away. Overall, this is a great toy...easy for young kids to use, fun for grown ups as well, and backed by excellent customer support. I would definitely recommend it.

For 29$ this is a great gift for a 4-5 yo. My 4yo son was ecstatic when he saw it. Drove it around the whole house. Then we went outside to our sand box and what a great time we had. I was impressed by how intuitive the controls were. This made it quite straight forward for him to figure out on his own with limited intervention on my part. Tracks work well to keep the excavator moving. Scoop is made out of die cast? It cuts through the sand nicely. The power of the arm is limited, but for 29$, we'll within the range of what I would consider reasonable. Great fun. I had the most fun just watching my son learn a new skill with remote control toys. Great bargain. Would definitely recommend. I like that the machine comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. What I wish as an upgrade is for the USB dangles to had I dictator lights telling you when it is fully charged. Nice toy.

Seems to be of decent quality - not all plastic and I do like the fact that it comes with 2 battery packs. It IS a lot smaller than the picture would imply, though. I should've looked at the dimensions first, but judging by the child in the product photos, I expected this to be significantly larger. Also - it seems like it makes constant noise when it's on? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it's a little on the loud side. My 2.5 year old loves it though. (And my husband)

It was a fun machine. It did well for a bit, but not quite tough to last forever for a 5 year old. Better for an older child.

This was a Christmas gift for a 3 year old and it was the biggest hit. After installing the batteries it came with, everyone wanted a turn. Smooth movements, not too loud, and the steam feature was really cool. The size was surprisingly nice, a lot of details, quality was surprisingly good, functions better than expected, and the durability seems well. Overall, a must for littles who are into remote control vehicles.

Good quality toys. So far battery life has been great. Remote controls are easy to use. Kiddos and adults have enjoyed playing with them. Love how the bed and loader raises and lowers on them.

A lot of fun at a great price! Comes with two remotes for double the fun. Purchased for the littles and the adults have just as much fun playing with. Great size and quality. A top Christmas gift this year for everyone. Would highly recommend.
