I don't do a ton of soldering, and while my technique has gotten fairly decent, I fail to keep the tip clean, so I basically need a new tip after every handful of uses.Probably not the best way to do things, but it works for me.

What can you really say about a soldering iron tip? If you use a soldering iron, eventually you will need to replace the tip.This is the same tip that comes on a new L40 iron. It is big, conducts and retains heat well, and is fairly durable.Treat this tip kindly and it will last a long time. Aggressive cleaning (wire brush) will tear it up and wear it out rapidly.Coat the threads with graphite (or heat sink compound, if you have some) when installing the tip, and it won't seize, making future removal easier.

Great conical replacement tip for Wall Lenk 40watt iron. The price was nice too.

It looks good but, it does not fit my Iron it's too big
