Cedar Garden Walkway with Optional Anchors Multicolor - TW038-2

These are lovely. They are shorter than you see in your mind's eye, so I bought 4. (I think they came in sets of 2.) You need the metal pins to keep them in place. The cedar is strong but looks delicate; the connecting "rope" (which runs through drilled holes) is weather-proof. I use them so I can carry things on my hand truck from the garage to the shed. WELL! My helpful neighbor shredded - tore, twisted, cut! - 2 of them with his regular lawn mower. And so he turned around and ran over it again, and tore off another plank! You cannot replace individual planks because the rope runs through. You can't buy cedar planks that size here, anyway. But the price is decent, and so I'll probably get another set. The cons are they really show the mud and dirt, but I think a hose may wash them off. Or using a protective coating of some kind of wood protectant may be advised. And they are narrower than they appear in the photo. They still do a GREAT job of keeping me from dragging dirt into the house, and the hand truck fits right on them. My lawn is very bumpy, but it fits just fine. I love them! The neighbor is fired! (I use a small push ion-battery-powered mower, it rides low, and it's blade is not so powerful.) I'm not sure why his gas guzzler tore them up this year and not last year ... But we have had an extremely rainy season.

You can see by the photos we used this in our tropical setting we recently completed in our yard. The second photo showing the entire area may not show it up as much as photo is light. but it does look great. What i loved about this is: unlike some others that are either ONLY straight or ONLY curved this set you can do whatever you need to do including put a slight turn to it etc. We put it (3 sets) surrounded by seashell which fits nicely inbetween the slats. Have no idea yet how it will hold up but for now it was great to install. I used landscaping staples to kind of hold them in place and had to not used them pulled out completely because i needed to have it in an exact space. So this was perfect, because you can adjust the width of the space slightly. In any case for now...i LOVE it !!!11/13/19 We have now added to the left side of this boardwalk. we have the "boardwalk" going all the way around our little tropical island and sitting area. Just love this look so much!!!

I bought 2 and they look good and do the job I had wanted. The boards seem a bit far apart to the extent that if you aren't careful, a shoe or toe may trip you up in between the slats. Convenient that they roll up for mowing the lawn. But not so convenient if we use the garden stakes that I bought to go with them to keep them sturdy on the ground. We'll have to wait and see how they hold up under the sun, rain storms and salty air of summer at the beach.

Just what I expected - a super product, very nice looking, well constructed. I went ahead and ordered a few more (kind of unreliable measurement estimates on my part, to begin with). I would add a photo, but I am in the middle of a yard reclamation project, and it is the only nice thing there (and is surrounded by compost in a lasagna garden). Maybe when the project is done. It is truly a beautiful product and will add so much to my garden. I read a couple of negative reviews, and was a tad bit nervous - but the overall rating was very high - for a good reason. I could not be more happy.

I am unhappy with the quality of the cedar walkways purchased. They did come before the estimated time but are not the quality I expected. Each of the walkways purchased had at least one or two boards on it that were splintered and/or had knots that were "popping" from the surface and are ultimately not as durable, smooth and resistant to wear and weather as was portrayed. Also, the nylon rope connecting them is about 3mm in diameter and not what inspires a strong sense of durability in the product. All in all not the level of quality expected from something from amazon.

A proper wood slat walkway is a series of wood slats drilled through their width a few inches in from each end; they are then connected with ropes or heavy cords strung through the slats alternating with spacers which keep the slats a uniform distance apart and parallel. Compare that with this substandard item, which is nothing but slats hung together by very small diameter braided nylon cord stapled to the backs of them. With no spacers, the slats in use shift around and are not kept equidistant or parallel which presents a very poor appearance. Perhaps the fault is mine for assuming the construction would be much the same as satisfactory walkways I have used in the past, but it is hard to imagine anyone being satisfied with this product.

I am extremely satisfied with the cedar walkway I purchased. I need something narrow and easy to maneuver around my pool and garden area to walk on. The walkway helps with keeping grass out of the pool. They look beautiful and feel sturdy as looking as it's on a level ground. The price is great when comparing to other sites. They were shipped well and received on time.

These are perfect for a walkway over the pea gravel. Had pavers but the rocks were always on them and hurt to walk on. These never have the rocks on them. I love them. They also don't get hot like the pavers did.
