Hot to kill germs - you can look online at some cloth diapering forums for more tips on detergents, do's & don'ts so you don't damage the materials or affect the absorbency of the liners. It's more complex than you think.

Q: Are these good for heavy wetters or would they need a doubler or need to be double stuffed in a one size pocket diaper?

My guy has been a real heavy wetter since he started using the sippy so i just got in the habit of doubling up all the inserts i have. Like I'll pair these with a hemp or bamboo or CBI. But i have also used these with microfiber inserts that usually come with the pocket diapers i get and either combo works great for us. I've used these on their own a couple times before but i cant say I'd trust them completely if i were out and about. If i were home all day with him and didnt mind if he leaked a little I'd go for the single insert and just make sure to change within that 1.5-2 hr realm. But these hold so much, i do love them

Q: How do these compare to the Gerbers 6 ply diapers?

I purchased Gerber brand for about 5 years. In 2018 or 2019 they changed to a totally different material that was very thin. I have not purchased Gerber since. I have now purchased Fasoar twice (a dozen each time). Although they cost more that Gerber did for the same amount I have not been disappointed. They wash up so nicely and are thicker than any I ever used previously. I make burp cloths with them to sell or give as gifts. I have never used cloth diapers for diapering.

Q: It says the diapers have padding, but never specifies what the padding is made of. It states the outside is cotton, but what is the inside made of?

I believe they are all cotton. There are just more layers of cotton down the center.
