Other than, perhaps, the rather eye watering price tag, there is nothing not to love about this gorgeous serum. The glass bottle is very classy and shouts high quality. I always think that rose is probably the Marmite of scents – people tend to either love it (heavenly floral) or hate it (granny-fied air freshener), but I'm happy to say I'm in the love it camp. The serum itself is perfect. Two pumps into your palm gives the ideal amount to liberally treat your face and neck. It's very silky. Just the right consistency, it glides over skin beautifully and it feels instantly nourishing and refreshing. It doesn't take long to absorb dry, and for me (I always moisturise on top) it makes the perfect base for a good quality moisturiser. The scent really is divine – very natural, it smells just like the Winchester Cathedral Rose plant I have in my garden during the summer. I've been using this serum for a couple of weeks now – my skin is soft and supple with zero breakouts. I'm enjoying this product very much, and I think Jurlique is a super quality brand (check out their page for more treats).

I have been using Jurlique products for a few years and they're one of my favourite brands as not only are their products effective, they are so lovely to use. I had been wanting to try the Rare Rose Serum for a while so I was pleased to get the opportunity to try it and share my feedback. The pink frosted glass bottle is very tactile and sits nicely in the hand. The product is dispensed using the pump dispenser, and I find two pumps are enough to apply to my face and neck. The serum has a light, silky texture and is opaque in appearance. It applies nicely on my skin and is quickly absorbed. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using and looks brighter but it doesn't look particularly hydrated or glowy, despite this being labelled as a Hydrate and Glow serum and containing a botanical alternative hyaluronic acid. I love fragrance in my skincare as it can lift my mood as well as giving a more sensorial experience, and this has a beautiful rose scent which smells natural and fresh. It really does make my skincare routine feel more luxurious.

I first discovered Jurlique a few years ago and have loved them ever since, so when I so this Rare Rose serum I was eager to try it out. I dehydrated skin and with hydration being one of the most important factors for radiant skin, this serum ticks all the boxes. Serums have to be my favourite skincare step as they can be such a game changer if you get the right one. It is a gentle serum so easy to introduce into your routine and one that will boost hydration, help with moisture loss, and keep your skin plump whilst also refreshing your natural glow. The serum has a lightweight texture and does not feel greasy or sticky on the face. It absorbs almost immediately leaving the skin fresh with the most amazing glow. Love that it comes with a pump for easy and even application. Overall, the Rare Rose serum is a very good all-rounder, one that can be used by all ages and skin types.

The Jurlique - Rare Rose Serum is supplied boxed in a glass jar with a convenient pump action dispenser. The serum is a perfect consistency, not too thick and not too runny. It glides effortlessly onto the skin and absorbs beautifully, leaving no residue. The rose fragrance is divine, absolutely perfect for anyone who likes the fragrance of roses. The strength of the fragrance is just right, it's strong enough to really lift the mood and make one think of spring while applying during these dark, gloomy December mornings (December at the time of writing this review), while not that strong that it's completely overpowering. The box states for best results, use before applying your preferred Jurlique moisturiser. This advice I agree with. I find if I apply a moisturiser after the serum it really helps bring out the glow, but of course moisturising afterwards isn't essential and is down to individual preferences and skin care routines. It's an old cliché, but this product really does allow one to come up smelling of roses, as well as hydrating the skin and giving it a nice glow.

A serum that deserves all the attention and I realized that from the first applications. I have very dry skin with flakes in some areas, especially in this cold season and for me it works wonders. It has a watery texture that is completely absorbed into the skin and extremely quickly. The smell is divine, I have pink roses in the yard everywhere and I can say with my hand on my heart that it is that smell. It's not sweet, not overwhelming at all, it's just the perfect balance not to bother. After about 2 weeks of daily use, the skin becomes silky, smooth and brighter. I can't yet notice anti-aging effects or evening out the color of the skin, it's too early to confessabout this, but I'll come back with an update. I apply it daily on the face, neck and décolletage and because it absorbs so well into the skin, I apply a moisturizing cream afterwards. I recommend it with great confidence, it works very well especially in the cold season when the skin is so exposed to the cold and dryness.

Always hard to judge these products especially when they come with this kind of a price tag and with the brand not being known specifically for these types of products however once you open the box and get your hands on the bottle you start to get an idea of why the price is what it is, first of all the smell ...it's basically a bouquet of the nicest roses 🌹 in a drop and it tends to linger on hours after it has been applied which was probably the most surprising of all as you wouldn't expect a refresher to do that so if you like the floral rose notes this is a must-have product. In terms of hydration, it does bring a fresh feeling to your skin and to some extent I feel it blocks sweat to a degree as well or the dreaded oily skin shine for a couple of hours...so scent plus freshness does certainly deliver ..price wise is hard to say however it is definitely quality.
