Cheaper than buying the name brand at the local hardware store. I needed these to screw together some landscape timbers. Very happy with the purchase and quality!

Very heavy construction. Used in 6x6 and 4x6 timbers. One person mentioned the threads not going to the top of the screws. This is an excellent designed screw. The threads go through the first board and pull into the board below and pulls them together. This design works perfect for a yard swing of timbers of yellow pine. Thanks Also I got 150 screws for the price of 20 that had purchased from Big Box store. I plan to take theirs back. Used these. Bill.

Strong at a great price. I used these to make a 4x8 plywood storage workbench. This thing is made of 4x4s with screws in-end. Some notes: self tapping screws are NEVER going to hold as well as regular non-self tapping. This is because the cutting head cuts away a lot of material, (saving you time and effort pre-drilling each hole), but that also provides less material for the screw width to grab onto. For 99% of the time, that's irrelevant. But screwing into the end of a 4x4, with the grain opposing you, it won't pull the wood together anywhere near as effectively. Often spinning in the wood. However, when the grain direction is opposing the direction of screwing, it is amazingly strong. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
