Great Book
Always looking for books with a purpose to use in training sessions or to learn something new. This is one of those books. Enjoyed it, but had to return it because our business needs changed and it was no longer needed for the purpose we intended when bought.

Good, but written with a limited scope
A helpful and thorough book for it's limited area of interest. The book includes numerous surveys, checklists and exercises for evaluating and improving various aspects of organizational performance. This is good information, even for consultants like myself that don't work in that area. The general subjects include Teams and Teamwork, Change, Organization, Coaching, Vision, Motivating, etc..These sound like cheesy and trite subjects, as we here about "Teamwork" "Change"and "Vision" ad nauseam, but I found that some of the sections contained good information and surveys/checklists that could be easily adapted to project management situations, whereas other sections have little if any value beyond the organizational performance realm. If you can afford the $25 (seems a little high) and need some fresh ideas and perspectives, this is worth a look.

Worth the Price
Part of my consulting practice is to create and facilitate group learning for various situations. I enjoy leafing through this book to both remind myself of tools, techniques and concepts I have explored in the past, and also to expand my options to incorporate new material into the mix. It is a bit like hanging out with a bunch of other consultants for a day to share ideas.

Sherlock Holmes Skills Needed
I purchased this book excitedly because it is a consultant tool kit. I thought this would be a great go-to when I received a call from a prospective client to begin pulling together a proposal. The book says that downloading the tools is free!Well, that's how it started. I went to the website that's listed in the book to download the form, but when I went to that site, it was no longer a working site. It took me almost 30 minutes to figure out what to do - sign up for a McGraw Hill Account, look for your book.....you get the picture.Despite eventually finding the book and the downloads, my initial enthusiasm has waned. The experience has left me feeling less than impressed.McGraw-Hill should update its description on Amazon. So, I am giving the book a low rating because of the experience in getting what I needed as a consultant, but it is a solid book content-wise.

A consultant's opinion
It has some great ideas, forms, and categories to apply to business consulting. You can choose specializations that you feel comfortable with or add some new things to your specialization.

really enjoyed this book
Wanted to give it 5 stars but couldn't justify due to the insane way to download material and the severe drop off in usefulness towards the end of the book. I really, really enjoyed this book, the first half, and found a ton of great material to help my clients. But then the second half of the book came along and the exercises and material felt like it was just filling pages. It's worth the price of the book, but don't expect life changing material in the end.
