Nice, small concrete mixer
Some of the reviews said this mixer was hard to put together. I was expecting the worst but it wasn't too bad. The instructions are not great but it's not too difficult, regardless. I've mixed about a dozen batches of concrete so far and this mixer has worked great. Mixes well for smooth finish on concrete countertops. I would buy this item again.

It has uses and limits
A previous comment was how worthless the instructions were. Amen. Look at the pictures and try to figure out the holes. After giving up on the instructions I did wing it with better results. When I started using it there was great disappointment because the T-bar came undone about every four minutes ... never getting it tight enough to stay and great fears it was going to fall apart. I went and got a lock washer and with a bar device cinched it down. I mixed 50 bags of redi-mix immediately after that and it still hasn't come loose.Instructions say to leave the drum rotating when you pour the bag in. Couldn't do it. Turned it off, poured the bag, and it started fine.Is a real pain if you're not doing a ground pour. I built a temp stand, elevated the mixer, and poured into a bucket. Worked fair. Need to turn off the mixer to dump it and scrape it out with a scraper. But it would have been far worse if I was doing it by hand.Worked pretty good when doing a ground pour. The problems there were just me.Worth the cost? Yes. It did surprise me how quiet and how quickly it mixed. Worth it not just for finally getting my wall in and so quickly, but because the mixer really did ease my job. If mine broke now, problems and all, I'd buy it again. I think mine already paid for itself.

Concrete Mixer
Execellent machine. As stated by others the unit is actually much heavier built and robust than I would have thought for the price. Assembly instructions are not well written and the illustrations are vaque. You have to figure much out for yourself. Also, there are more parts than shown in the instructions or the illustrations. The motor has side plates to protect it as well as the top plate shown. This is an additional and worthwhile feature but it is not included in the instructions. Weird!

Item does not perform well as a wheel barrow mixer; seller has 'hidden' policies.
Design is badly balanced; most of the 130 lb weight is on the handles, so all of that has to be lifted to move the mixer and it is difficult to steer, much less tip under control, since the wheels are not under the center of weight, yet it is called a "wheel barrow" mixer. The problems of lifting the weight and controlling it would be much worse when 200+ pounds of concrete are added, especially while tipping it into a hole. And many people advise leaving the drum turning while emptying a mixer in order to clear out the drum more thoroughly but that could spell disaster with this mixer, given the previously mentioned problems.Amazon did approve a return based on those reasons but the seller recouped their cost by shorting me on the refund and got the machine back, too! How? By taking a restock fee (not mentioned ANYWHERE in their policies) AND insisting that the buyer pay shipping both ways - a whopping $228!!!! To their credit, Amazon is investigating the seller's policies and may make up the difference. Note: it was in pristine condition when it was returned (it was so unwieldy I never used it) and I packed it much better for the return than they did (the motor had broken through its box from tossing around in the drum). As others have mentioned, the instructions are not worth using; the photos on the listing are more helpful, as is common sense. And some of the nuts and bolts had burrs and were difficult to thread. If you think you want this machine but are not absolutely certain, learn from my mistake and buy it at a local retailer so you can return it if need be.

I purchased this 2019
I’ve ran at least 300 60# bags of concrete thru it. Still works just fine.

I've seen a lot of bad instruction manuals over the years but this one eclipses ...
I've seen a lot of bad instruction manuals over the years but this one eclipses all of them. All of the necessary information is contained in zoomed in boxes of the diagram, but inside that box is a few squiggly lines and some numbers that all match up to nondescript parts like... nut. Zero detail in that picture. The entire manual is literally useless. And then it mocks you by having this full page detailed blow out diagram for the motor down to each washer or wire even though it comes pre-assembled!After a lot of frustration and cussing I realized that my drum was defective and the "guide notch" wasn't cut large enough to fit over the "locating pin." So I had to pry open the metal a bit. So now everything is assembled (I think) but I have zero confidence that this unit will hold together over prolonged use. I'd strongly recommend spending a bit more money and going with a mixer that you can trust.

Sturdy, good buy
Very good for the money. I mixed 130 80lb back without a problem. It can mix 4 80lb at a time, i only thought it would do 2 due to the reviews. T- screw comes loose at first, but not anymore.

Perfect for the job
Overall, this was perfect for our small project. We mixed up 40 bags in about two weeks for a pathway, and the mixer worked as expected. The instructions were pretty laughable. The pictures on Amazon were more helpful than the instructions for assembly, but everything went together pretty logically. It paid for itself after about 10 bags.
