Very nice carafe. Does not fit all models.
Very nice and attractive glass carafe. Does not fit all SodaStream models. Does not fit ours but we liked it enough to use it to store carbonated water in the fridge.

Excellent, sturdy glass container. Easily handles and keeps high carbonation!
I use this with my Soda Stream Jet (an old model) as follows: Pour COLD (refrigerated) water into the plastic bottle that comes with the Jet. Carbonate with 8-12 shots of C02. Pour the seltzer into the glass carafe to with 1" of the top and cover. There will be a couple of ounces left in the plastic bottle--but worth it! I don't want to store carbonic acid (seltzer) in plastic, and glass holds the carbonation much better. It's thick glass and will probably last forever--may just need to get some plastic tops after a while...

Not all Soda Streams can use these
I didn't read the fine print and discovered too late that these do not fit in my old Soda Stream so I had to return them (although I wish they made glass carafes for the older versions). It's worth going to the Soda-Stream website to find out exactly which machine you have because not all carafes fit all types (of which there are many now. Mine is already 15+ years old. Luckily they still make carafes to fit, they are just out of plastic.

Beware of the new "screw tops"
I have been a Penguin user for over six years, started with the round top glass bottles and when all the caps broke and I could no longer get them I ordered about ten of the hex top bottles. These have been better than the round top but when I ordered four more from Amazon merchants, they shipped me a new screw top glass bottle, this is what Soda Stream now ships also. Avoid these at all costs. They will not hold a charge for more than 24 hours. If you charge and drink right away, you will have no issue, but if you are like us and really drink a lot of sparking water and always have ten or more in the refrigerator especially before entertaining, then do not buy the screw top. Great idea, but terrible execution. The seal inside the screw top appears to be a hard plastic that does not make proper contact with the glass. I now cannot return my 4 Amazon purchased bottles and Soda Stream has no more Hex bottles. I am now counting the days until we have to go back to our seltzer bottle to make sparkling water.

Glass soda stream carafe
Love this- it’s nice to have this filled with sparkling water in the fridge. You do have to have an adapter if you have an older machine, but it’s no issue to use it very simple

Good quality, decent price.
I was comfortable with the price of these bottles and pleased with their appearance and quality. Unfortunately they are not compatible with my model of soda stream so check your compatibility before you buy

Doesn’t fit my brand new soda stream machine
It’s a soda stream bottle so I would assume it would fit a soda stream machine but I was wrong. I do like storing in the glass bottle and I like drinking out of a glass bottle but I’m not sure I’m gonna keep it. it’s a senseless extra step

Smaller than the plastic version, but gets the job done (with bonus lesson on risk!)
After reading about plastic in the brain I decided to switch out as much plastic in my kitchen as I could (it will be impossible to have a completely non-plastic existence, but I'm doing what I can to reduce plastic in the brain risk). I have a SodaStream One Touch appliance - which is not compatible with these glass bottles - but hear me out! There was a method to my madness! I figured I could keep the fizzy water and non-fizzy water-getting-cold in these glass bottles and use my official plastic bottle only for the fizzing process (it's about minimizing risk - you will never have zero risk) Now, the glass bottles are smaller than the OG fizzy bottle and I end up doing a weird pouring dance involving multiple bottles, but, really, it's working for me. I would buy these again because they are specifically constructed to keep the fizz in - and they do. Yes, that's a plastic lid but the water isn't touching it (again, minimize risk - there will never be zero risk). They arrived quickly and safely and they do what I need them to do, which is safely hold water-getting-cold and fizzed water.

I already had one of these bottles and got a second to stock my filtered water in. The bottle I received is exactly the one I got when I bought a SodaStream. Tough thick glass with a pattern that makes it easier to grip. It will smash if you drop it however. One thing to note is it’s very easy to tighten the cap too hard and before you know it you can’t get the thing loose again. It only needs to be tight enough so it stops without having to put anymore force in. Mine are laid down in the fridge on a rack and don’t leak. Of course the added bonus is if you want to sparkle the water these are compatible. All in all a great buy.

Lossar glasbitar i toppen där korken skall täta En flaska exploderade efter ett tag användning, vid fyllning. Blev bara pulver kvar av flaskan som fyllde hela SodaStream maskinen
