Of course that is the beauty of this stove the legs adjust in for small pots and pans and adjust out for large pots and pans

The dimensions for the case are: 5" x 3.5" x .75"

Q: What size carbon felt comes in this kit?

6.75 x 4.75 is the size. It fits in the X-Case perfectly.

Q: Does this set come with the solid fuel plate, or is it sold separately?

It doesn't come with a solid fuel plate. But with that said, it sits in the case which is solid. There will be a gap between the base and the "stove" itself. I'm not sure that that would be the most efficient way to use a fuel tab though.
