I had this book for 35 years but it’s disappeared and I miss it. I suspect a grandkid. 😂

Contains a great number of delicious recipes. Book arrived promptly, well packaged, and in perfect condition.

My mother gifted me this cookbook after one of their visits to the South in the 70's. It has been a family favorite since then. The spine of my original copy gave way to use ... so I was thrilled to see this cookbook is still available.These are GREAT, tried-and-true recipes--the kind your mother and grandmother wrote down on index cards. People love the recipe for lasagna and Italian Cake ... At 70 year's old, I still enjoy flipping through the pages ... and finding a terrific recipe.You will love this gem of a cookbook!

This book has every recipe you will ever need! The gumbo recipe and the Italian spaghetti recipe are outstanding! I have used this book for many years.First bought while living in Monroe, LA.

Even though this dates back, the recipes are excellent. Belongs on all serious southern cooks shelves

Hands down, my favorite cookbook. The Cotton Country Collection was gifted to my grandmother decades ago and has been a staple in our family kitchens ever since. This book truly takes you back in time, and exudes "Old South" hospitality throughout, just as I remember it in my grandmother's kitchen and dining room. Many of these recipes/contents are staples, while others are veritable gems you won't find anywhere else (e.g., Mrs. Don Irby's "seafood crepe pie" or George Smellings's pages-long discussion of game meats). What's more, there is something here for every occasion; the CCC has gotten me through dinner parties, casual luncheons, summer suppers, and plenty of those spur-of-the-moment snacks and treats. My mother bought me a copy when I went off to college and a couple of my friends and I eventually worked through the entire cookbook over the course of our four years -- and in the process, produced several new CCC devotees. So many fun memories to be had. Oh, and beyond just the food, the book itself is so charmingly elegant. The little illustrations and watercolor prints are works of art. There's just no other way to put it: this one is a nonpareil, and I'm so glad to see it remains readily available in print.

I love this cook book use it all the time .. just when I received it in the mail the corner was bandaged in shipping and the binding was broke
