Great fit and support. Comfortable when seated for a period of time.
I had hurt my back. Took meds to eventually relieve the pain and "feel" back to normal. I ordered this for support to get back into the gym routine. Works well. It's not too thick, meaning you can wrap it under your shirt and it's not too noticeable. I usually wear a tank top so I wrap this around the tank top. If you just wrap it around your back you will get sweat on it. I also wore it when going out after my back pull which helped me while being seated at times like for being out for dinner. I'm 5'6, about 145 pounds just to help those out there for sizing purposes. I ordered the S/M.

Great belt but runs smaller than older model
I've had the older model of this belt for many years and Velcro just stopped holding so I bought the same size as my old belt and it's not the same. On the old model - the whole belt stretches, not just the side pulls, on this one, the belt itself does not stretch, only the side pulls so the fit is a little snug.It still provides great back support and strain relief, just make sure you get the right size to fit you.

pretty good, i think this s/m size is good for 34" and below
I misplaced my futuro back brace and thought i had the s/m as it's rated to like 39" or something. My waist is 30 but this thing feels maybe too perfect for me. Like if it was bigger i wouldn't like this fit. But it's typical in that you pull the center and velcro the main belt together around your belly. Then there are two smaller stretch belts on each side and pull them till they are comfortably tight and they're velcro as well so you just pull and stick. Pretty easy. The flat edge of the belt is the lower side and the higher part is the upper part of the belt. The one thing i liked my futuro was (older one and color white) that it seemed to be more soft and pliable, so i could fit it under more clothes easier. This one (gray color) feels a little more plasticky feeling and a little harder, but overall seems to work about the same. So back to what sets this one apart is they have 2 bars that press both sides of your spine and that seems to give it just enough pressure to let off some pressure on the back and i feel some relief immediately. I think i have some sort of compression disorder. But anyways, i'd order the one size up so next time i'd get the med/large one, just felt a little more comfortable.

Two Sizes Don't Fit All
When I originally ordered the product, I wasn't quite sure which size to order. Futuro offers two sizes - small/medium and large/x-large. The product page on Amazon offered no sizing directions. Since I sometimes fit medium and other times large in clothing, I was uncertain about which size to order. The "safest" bet would have been to order one of each and return the one that didn't fit - which, looking back, I probably should have done.1 Instead, I went to the Futuro website to get sizing information. According to their information I should order a sm/med; which I did. When I got the brace, I tried it on and was surprised how small it was. I had ordered the size according to Futuros' sizing directions but it barely wrapped around my abdomen. For those of you who have used braces before, you'd expect the belt to wrap around enough to provide a secure, comfortable fit before attaching the elastic straps. This belt barely overlapped by three to four inches.I went ahead and wore it for a few days just to see if it still worked. Now, the contruction and materials are great. It's light-weight. It breaths very well (I was wearing it in July on the East Coast). The material is very comfortable against the skin. The brace insert is designed well to provide support to the lower back. My problem was the size. On two instances the velcro gave out while wearing it - so for the remainder of the day I had no support to my back unless I went to the restroom and rewrapped myself. The rest of the time I was overly conscious of it, waiting for it to let go again. It tried to overlap the belt more, but then it cut into my stomach and was uncomfortable.I decided to order the other size. When this one arrived I tried it on and it was huge! The belt was so long that when I wrapped it around me, the velcro end of the belt went past the area on the other end of the belt where its supposed to attach. I gave up, sent this one back, kept the first one since I'd worn it and looked for another brace from another supplier. Futuro either needs to make more sizes to provide enough range in size to work for all sizes (I'm a fairly standard size - 6' 185# 34" waist) or, if they want to maintain this two-sizes-fit-all approach, they need to put enough material into the belt so that it works, comfortably, for even the largest individuals who are supposed to use it.
