Excellent dark morning tea
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this tea. It's very dark and strong, just the way I like it. Can't wake up without a tea that'll put hair on your chest!

The best strong TEA
I‘ve been drinking this tea for over 10 years. I enjoy STRONG TEA. Each bag is said to brew a pot of 5 servings. I use ONE BAG in a 12 ounce cup. No, the spoon doesn’t stand upright. This is strong enough to start my day. I love it.

Very distinct and delicious flavor.
I love Irish tea and have tried several brands both here in the USA and in Ireland. Thompson's has a distinct flavor, somewhat "malty". It must be because of their leaf selection and their fermenting process. Whatever it is, Thompson's has become my favorite Irish tea.

My new favorite Irish breakfast tea!
I think I just found my new favorite Irish breakfast tea! When brewed, this tea has a deep color and a delightfully rich aroma. The flavor is robust yet smooth, and very satisfying. The outer packaging is foil (Mylar?) to keep the teabags fresh, with a sticky tab to seal it. This package is then over-wrapped with a thick clear plastic for shipping. Inside, you’ll find unwrapped teabags in pairs, without strings. This is more eco-friendly and no doubt a bit more cost-effective. I store the entire package in a sealable plastic bag for extra freshness. Now here’s a novel way to brew a mug of tea when you don’t want to bother with your kettle: place a teabag in a microwave-safe mug and add cold water to approximately 3/4 - 4/5 full. Place the mug in your microwave oven and heat for 5 minutes at 50% power (you may need to adjust this based on the wattage of your unit, the size of your mug, etc.). When finished, remove the mug from the microwave (CAUTION: CONTENTS WILL BE HOT). Briefly stir gently, remove the teabag, then sweeten and/or add milk or lemon as desired, and enjoy! Basically, the tea steeps for 5 minutes as the water heats in the microwave, but never gets to the point where the teabag is boiled. No doubt the “tea-drinking purists” out there will cringe at this technique , but it does in fact work well!
